wow that sucks.. if the pain feels like really bad menstrual cramps or would rather have a baby it is a kidney stone..it radiates from the back all the way to the groin and accross the stomach. I just spent time in the hospital for that in september and man let me tell you it was the most painful thing that I have went through.. I would rather have a baby and I have had two.. but when I got to the hospital they gave me a shot of morphine and monitored me.. sent me home and a week later still in pain I ended up passing them.. I do not wish this pain on my worst enemy it is horrible.. I still feel at times I might get another one but so far I have been lucky.. lol

My blood glucose levels actually spiked to 27 in the hospital! They gave me some insulin, 4 Litres of IV and the best pain drip ever! Now I'm home and trying to relax. I need to see my Family Dr in the morning and get my prescription filled at some point today.

Aha! I told you earlier the pain meds would be good. Morphine maybe? that's some good stuff.

It was called Toradol, I guess it's in the Morphine family. lol I went in to see my Family Dr today and he wrote me a prescription for the pill form of it since it worked so well with the pain.

Problem is, he and the 2 ER doctors I saw said that with the infection controlled diabetes or not, my sugars will spike. I'm sitting at 19.7 right now, yep reallly high. And I took a pill. But if it spikes 5 more points I have to go back to the Hospital to get it down. Argh I'm reallllly starting to loathe this infection.
