Oh, here I came hoping to find an answer as to which tubed cow bum was best! I know I've only bought a couple of times, one was fine and one was tasteless. I usually buy 10 lb bags from my local butchershop, they go on just about as cheaply as the tubes and package in into serving sizes flat in ziplocks. I just use the sandwich bags, I've never found the freezer bags worked any better.
My mom always used to look for "Dolly Parton" chickens.... should I be looking for JayLo cows?

Oy, Jasmine! Ya made me chortle
I totally agree that the way to go is with ground beef from the butcher!!! The butcher we like packages it in one pound portions before freezing.

LOL That cow bum is too cute!
I'm now seeing 3-tubed packs of cow bum in my WM. I also bemoaned that my freezer is void of any, just before supper tonight.

Haven't used ground beef in ages, it's been really pricey around here. For some reason, ground pork has been cheaper, so I've been using that.
