The army corp of engineers (geniuses that they are) decided they would clear the rubble from
below the American Falls back in 1969. When they eventually diverted the water and lowered
their 'heavy duty' equipment to the rocks below they finally realized the enormity of the task
and quickly turned the falls back on so the whole world would stop laughing at them.

They also poured dye in above the Falls to see how the water flowed exactly.
60% of the dye didn't come out.......anywhere!

We had a lovely thunderstorm at suppertime last night - though the rain was welcome, there was also a lot of hail - have yet to hear if it was damaging anywhere. Some of the loudest/closest thunder I've heard in a long time.

Looks like a nice day ahead but a little humid. Cloudy and 17 now, just a few clouds this afternoon with a high of 27.

...it was a fantastic day...beautiful morning, coffee on the deck, hit +28 this afternoon, nothing but blue skies and hits from the 80's and finished the bbq just before the wind changed and it turned "cold" +15 and looks like rain...

The skies were so dark from around 8 a.m. when I began my store hopping adventure ( my new flyers arrive in the afternoon, so I could not PM anything ) and just as I left FreshCo the heavens opened up. There were a few of us standing at the entrance with our carts full trying to wait out the heaviest of the downpour.

A SCOP here, a great sale there, it all worked out pretty nice. Hope everyone has a lovely day!
