we got about 5cm of snow overnight...but the sun is out now and its a beautiful afternoon and most of the snow has melted +4

Issued at 05:19 Saturday 18 April 2020
Significant snow and wind is expected.
Total snowfall: 20 to 30 cm.
Maximum wind gusts: 80 km/h.
Locations: northeastern Newfoundland
Time span: Sunday morning through to Monday morning.
Remarks: Snow is expected to begin near noon Sunday. Snow may mix with or change to rain Sunday night, which would lower snowfall totals over some areas. Strong easterly winds will also develop Sunday, with strongest gusts expected along the coast.

Its dull and overcast here now. We have a storm headed our way for this afternoon that is supposed to last through the night...not much point to have snow if you can't snowmobile!!! (all the ponds here now are unsafe)

Locations: southern, eastern, northeastern and central Newfoundland as well as the Great Northern Peninsula.
Total snowfall: 15 to 25 cm except near 25 to 35 cm over the Baie Verte Peninsula.
Time span: this morning to evening for southern and eastern Newfoundland. This afternoon to overnight for central and northeastern Newfoundland. This evening to Monday morning for the Great Northern Peninsula.
Remarks: The snow is forecast to change to rain over the Connaigre Peninsula and Bonavista and Clarenville this evening before ending. Rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm are possibl

we got about 25cm Sunday & Monday but most of it should melt over the next couple of days +1 for today & +5 for tomorrow
