    Rain expected Thursday night then potential for significant snow on Friday.

    Total snowfall: 10 to 25 cm.

    Locations: southern, northeastern and central Newfoundland.

    Time span: Thursday evening to Friday evening.

    Remarks: A mixture of rain and snow will begin either Thursday afternoon or evening before transitioning back to snow on Friday. The rainfall is not expected to be significant, but the combination of rain followed by snow and falling temperatures will likely lead to very slippery road conditions. Conditions will improve Friday afternoon or Friday evening.
