I don't eat it! I pick all the cereal out of the bottom and chuck the dust lol

Same here.
I think it is essentially small particles of the cereal that falls to the bottom of the bag. The more the box has been banged around and sitting, the more "dust" will be at the bottom.

i only buy sugar cereals, so i do eat it with the last bowl ...just adds more sugar to my bowl

Want FREE "Green Bags"????

Here's something you might not have known (because my MOM invented it..lol!)
NEVER toss those bags!!! Ever have wilted, brown lettuce? Stick it into a clean cereal bag and you'll never have that problem again!! Fresh lettuce until it's gone!
Ever have icky bacon? Nevermore!! Open the original bacon bag, rinse the bacon (yes, rinse, but just the whole thing, swished under a cold tap), then wrap it in a papertowel, stick it into that cereal bag and NO MORE icky bacon!!
My hubby, the chemist, said it's the (I forget what he called it) stuff that preserves your CEREAL that preserves everything else you put into them!!!

OH.....you're gonna love me for this!! What the heck are green bags but bags with that stuff in them to keep foods fresh?! Now you know how to get them for free!!
And don't get me started on deli meats!! They stay dry and fresh until they're gone!
Try it and let me know how it works for you!!
