Our daughter was very reticent about taking our grandson for his injection, but our doctor poo-poo'd the autism/vaccine connection and said his sons have always had them, and always will and if he had grandkids, they'd get them, too. Of course, she engaged him in quite the debate, but we have so much confidence in him.....
She agreed, and Jack was given his vaccinations.

I don't think I'd worry about it when I have kids, I won't take them to get useless shots though (flu shots). Having done research on public health, it's almost amazing how much vaccines have changed the world (along with soap and a sanitary water system) and our life spans.

Mmm...I should also add that her BFF is one of the heads of the immunology departments in the hospitals in Toronto and she had no hesitation about that particular vaccination...it helped our DD with her decision, too....
