    It being tax season I thought I would ask

    Do you do your own taxes or hire someone to do it?

    I dont have a sweet clue how to, so I have always hired an accountant to do ours.
    I just use an accountant in my town. Not a big corporation, they charged us 105$ last year(that was for both my husband and I)

    I get mine and hubby's done through an accountant....but my parents' I do it myself, cause it's very basic!

    I guess I am scared I would screw up.
    A few years ago my dad had a friend do his and he made an error. It got re done by the goverment and my dad got a 3500 refund. Its a good thing they check them!

    I always go to my accoutant. I'd be afraid of screwing up and getting audited if I did it myself. Of course, that can happen even if you get it done by "professionals". My mom went to H&R block 2 years in a row and they messed up both times! Now she also goes to an accountant.

    i have been going to H&R block.. but last year they messed up and we ended up having to pay back money midway through the year(which we havent paid back yet so im sure will be deducted off our taxes this year) so im not sure what im going to do this year....

    I do my own using Quicktax. So does my parents. We have been doing it for over 6 or 7 years now and had no problems with it.
