Sounds like she might have a food allergy. Check the labels on the cat food carefully, try a new food that has limited ingredients if you can (for example, find a food that has only chicken, but no beef or fish). Feed her that food only for about 6 weeks (unless she gets worse, in which case that might be the allergen, so switch to a fish only or beef only food). It's very hard to diagnose food allergies, & don't waste your money on allergy tests at the vet's, they aren't always accurate or conclusive.
Another possibility is that she has worms (eating lots & not gaining weight, especially if she's not active). Get a stool sample to get analyzed. Call around to different vets, some will do an analysis at a much lower cost than others, especially since there is no cost for a visit involved. If you're near a vet college, their costs are usually lower, but do call around.
Good luck with her! I hope she feels better soon.

Most stores will have diff cat foods. Just be sure to read the label carefully, it isn't always obvious what the ingredients are. It does sound like it's a food allergy.
There is another option to make your own food. There are 2 books with balanced recipes for dogs & cats (very expensive, so go to the library & just write out the recipes) - Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide To Natural Health For Dogs And Cats by Pitcairn & Home-Prepared Dog and Cat Diets: The Healthful Alternative by Strombeck. Depending on your situation, it might be a cheaper alternative to special foods, especially if your kitty turns out to have lots of allergies (I have a good friend who's had to do this with her dog who's allergic to the usual dog foods & it was very expensive to get the specialty dog foods in).
If I can do anything to help, feel free to pm me.

This is adorable, some very well trained kitties. My Quincy, of course, is scared of the piano & guitar, so he`ll never be in a boy band.

lekate - what gorgeous kitties!
Lucy and Desi?
When I had sibling kittens, one set was named Nip and Tuck (I don't remember why, it was way before the tv show!). The others were white, and one had a bit more grey than the other on it - and I couldn't find names for them that fit, but I kept referring to them as the one with less grey and the one with more grey - so they became Les and More.

Yup, Taffy is totally pregnant... she's chubbed out at the sides, has a little waddle to her walk. She's a large cat, but dainty, if you know what I mean, so she's definitely put some weight on, a bit of a pear-shape. And she's eating oddly - little tidbits of things she never ever would have eaten before!
And she's one giant snugglypoo - which is lovely!

My one cat, the black one, has what looks like dandruff on her back. I think it's dry skin though, and when I brush her there she gets agitated. Is there anything I can buy for this?

You might try adding a bit of fish oil to her dinner. My friend does that for her dog who has dry skin. She gets a big bottle of fish oil capsules (I think it's a wild salmon & some other fish blend) & pours the contents of 1 capsule on the dog's dinner. Check places like Walmart before you hit the health food stores.
Hope this helps.
