Back from morning errands.

My goodness! *happy dance!* I recieved a parcel pick up notice and it will probably be either the gift exchange or the stuff I won from Boo's contest! I am sooooo excited and wish I knew which one it was! so that or something I have completely forgotten signing up for! LOL well I will let people know when I know!

oh plus I got my Master card bill and it was half the amount I was expecting! *double happy dance!* lol I for some reason calculated wrong and so nice christmas present to myself! lol I was worried about paying it! lol the bill is more affordable this way! well I am going to go bounce around now happily! lol

Trying to remember where I hid my Mom's b-day present, or she'll be getting an IOU tomorrow. Anyone happen to notice a stray brain, mine seems to have gone missing.

Oh, gee, Patty, ew!

Stressed and worried right now - my son got into a car accident on his way to work - HE IS NOT HURT. He was a few blocks away from work in the industrial area, he was turning left, a truck was turning left at the same time, and he thought he had enough time to clear the intersection before the car behind the truck came through. Well, his car was hit, then with the ice/snow on the street, his car was pushed into another truck on the other side - so, gee. So they did the whole police thing, he got a ticket for failing to yield, now he's with his dad at the insurance place. He's really worried about his license, he's a Novice 2, and how it will affect that. The car is probably totalled, it's a '91 Ford Probe which he has just had for a few months....
So I feel sad for him that he's had to go through all of this... my husband came home to tell me first, then Milan came to talk to me (I knew he'd get emotional with me, it was a few hours after it happened and he was still in a kind of shock... I know that feeling after a car accident). Now there's just the hassle parts to deal with - I just want to hold my 'baby boy' and tell him everything will be okay!
Thank goodness, though, that he wasn't hurt. But I know his chest and back might hurt tomorrow, so I'll watch for that...

Oh natalka I am so happy he is not hurt!! That is the most important!
At least this is a lesson learned...if your unsure that there is enough time ...wait the few extra seconds. I am sure he will be a better driver...you only learn from bad experiences!

yeesh, I hate this time of year for driving. Glad he is ok.

Natalka, a similar thing happened to me when I was 18. I was making a left turn, slowed down cause I hit a patch of black ice, & a speeding car clipped me & spun me around. I was a block from home on my way to school.

There is a funny (in a twisted dark humour kind of way) part to the story, besides the psycho sex life of the nut who hit me (& got very well compensated cause she lied through her teeth & there were no witnesses, but that's neither here nor there).

At any rate, I went home crying hysterically to my Mom (Dad was working). She was trying to calm me down, so suggested I get into pjs & come watch a movie with her. Well, the night before we'd taped Dead Zone, so that's what we watched. Of course, the first scene where the little VW gets creamed just about did me in. Did I mention that I was driving a VW?

After a very long day, when my Dad got home & I told him what happened, his only response was, "If you're not hurt, who cares. A piece of metal can be replaced, a person can't."

Tell your son, these things happen. But under no circumstances should he avoid driving. A friend of mine did that after a fender bender & she hasn't driven since (about 20 yrs) & it really restricts what she can do.
