I'll never catch up !!! Anyhows... 3 days with mom was enough, love her dearly but heard the same story 15 times (she's 79) ... I am a furbaby mother bursting with pride ... Tara (14+) hunted and caught a mouse in the house today! Sharp as a whip, as good a huntress as her mother was (yea, she's a dog, but Im not telling her different!) lol Dh helped her by moving some plant pots around and he couldn't believe how fast she was! Grabbed that mouse and ran! ROFL there's the 2 of us in our pj's trying not to shout and get her to share her prize with us (we didn't want her to eat it! ugh) oh she has been trotting around like queen poop all day! Us priming and complimenting, petting, cooing and just plain making sure she knows how very pleased we are ... treats coming at her left and right! lol Been 2 years since we had mice come in ... buggers sneak in the door (well that's the way it is in the country!) and I just HATE EM! Anyway, my sweet furbaby Tara is the hero of the day! (at least around here!) lol

that's awesome. my dogs, would make friends with it...maybe. wokeup to an awful commotion on the deck at 2am. it was summer, dogs were enjoying the fresh air..well, i guess missy decided that the creature wearing the mask (raccoon) was indeed a burglar, and attacked it. now mind you this is a dog, that washes down my 4 cats. so i was quite surprised. unless the raccoon attacked first i donno. there was blood everywhere, looked like fri 13th. i was so scared missy had gotten bit, but i guess she bit the raccon, and it kinda smeared when the thing tried to run away.

i feel bad for the raccoon the dogs don't stay outside at all at night anymore. better for everyone.

but i often wonder how missy would treat a real burglar? prolly run up and lick him.

sorry haven't been around much, staying off line mostly to free up the phone. Have come to terms with the loss of my step dad Ray, so back to focusing on my father. It is an inoperable brain tumor and he has been moved to palliative care. It seems to be progressing very fast as for about the last 2 weeks he can no longer talk, eat or walk. I won't go into any details, but I really do hope he passes quickly. If anyone has an in with the big guy, could you say a prayer for Tony?

Totally saying prayers for your Dad, Tick... It is so hard to see someone suffering like that and wishing there was anything you could do. You are in my prayers too! Hoping you are coping well.

i totally agree with you reasoning on the kids and meds issue. if the benefits out weight the risk. ABSOFREEKINGLUTELY. ryan has run out infront of card like 5 times. (hows that for a safety issuse? ) i seen another parent whose kid did the same thing but refused meds. but they did get him tested, turned out wasn't adhd, was autism. so lucky they did not go the med route. but at same time..if you try the meds and they don't work, then they can rule out adhd, and move onto an alternate diagnosis.

ps: i have agoraphobia too. maybe we should get together some time and disucss it. rofl.

My ex was the same way with his nephew.. he had one of those bouncy things that would attach to the ceiling (not sure what they're called), but he would call me over to watch him bounce.. he was adorable, but it all looked the same to me. I couldn't sit and goo over him bouncing around for an hour

Actually mine's not that bad right now but travelling long distances will get to me. I need to get over it though... i REALLY want to take a sunny vacation this winter. My mom goes at least twice a year - she books them last minute and gets amazing deals. My last real vacation was 10 yrs ago... i neeed one this year!

ok so i think the jewellery store job may be trying to screw me out of decent wages thanks to sally she sent me the minimum wage details from the government of canada site...well they told me on the phone that i was being paid student wages since i planned on returning to college in the spring when my class starts again and im sure they said i was getting 7 something an hour...
two problems with that...1. I am over 18 so should be paid general min wage 2. that general min wage is 8.75...so i printed out the page and if they try to give me crap tomorrow i will show them that and if they dont want to pay me min wage they can stick the job and i will come home mom told me thats what she would do too LOL

Rose, if they don't agree to give you the proper minimum wage I'd report them to the ministry of labour. That's not right at all... as if the regular minimum wage wasn't low enough as it is.. jeez

starting to get caught up almost there but too tired to keep reading tonight. Loved the kitty vid lol got stuck on youtube for awhile watching did you all see the ones with the striped tigers that the dog adopted so cute. Loved the one with the momma kitty adopting the baby squirrels too.
Did you all hear about the guy in Long Island that was a stocker at walmart? He was trampled to death when the doors opened at 5am by shoppers a pregnant woman was also knocked down and had a miscarriage. Couldn't believe it when DH told me so I had to google it. What is wrong with people that they would be such savages shopping . Very sad tho.
