NS, I'm in Southern NB. We got hit really bad with the storm. We're supposed to get another one on Sunday. There's no where else to put the snow. My yard is full.

All the people here who have a slow cooker have pressured me to buy one. They have a Bravetti at CT for $20 its 4 quarts. Do I need bigger than that?

My Bravetti died so I ended up buying Hamilton Beach which came with 3 separate size casserole dishes 2, 4 & 6 qts - It was $45 at Sears. They all fit inside one another so easy to store as well.

hello, me again, :D quick question, lookit this recipe ( whole boneless pork loin rib on sale superstore for 1.99 i cut it and made 3 roasts), anyway:

can i subsitute the dijon mustard? i can't stand dijion and it goes to waste?



his is a delicious slow cooker pork roast with a sweet and lightly spiced glaze. Serve this pork loin roast with mashed potatoes and your favorite side dish vegetables. Cook Time: 9 hours

Ingredients:

• 1 boneless pork loin roast, 4 to 6 pounds
• 1 clove garlic, halved
• salt and pepper
• 1 1/3 cups brown sugar, divided
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation:

Wash pork roast, trim excess fat, pat dry, and rub with garlic halves. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then prick the roast all over with a fork or skewer. In a cup or bowl, combine 1 cup of the brown sugar, the mustard, and vinegar. Rub all over the roast.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours. Pour off the excess juices.
combine the remaining 1/3 cup brown sugar with cinnamon; Spread the mixture over the top of the roast. Cover and continue cooking on LOW for 1 hour longer.
Serves 6 to 8.

OMG who came up with this recipe? I am writting it down and
it'll be next Sunday's dinner. Sounds yummy!

ok, my shopping spree continues:

so i'm ready to head to value village, but OH NOOOOOO

hubby spies sobeys in woodside, going out of business almost everything 20% off. i'm like, well we can use dogfood, we could grab it on way back. so he suggests we go now

i get in there, and they are doing all the flyer sales too! and the 20% is off of the sale items, anything that's not marked down as reduced, or dairy, or tobacco, taxes and beauty items.

didn't matter to me, dogfood isn't a cosmetic.

so the shelves are bare in some spots, stuffed in others, i was able to snag 4 bags of iams dog food, and used coupons, 2 bags of catfood, and a case of canned catfood.

SO WHAT HAPPENS??? the dog food rings up wrong!!! it was already rung off and hubby on way to car. i go back.

I get $10 off the first bag (they were 21.99 ea) and the $2 overcharge on the other 3 bags. so i asked her waht about the taxes? how you wanna work it she says, i can round it up, or you can go grab a bag and we can work it out. whatever way is easier for you i tell her..

she gives me $20 back!!!!

i saved on those 3 large bags, and 2 bags of the cat food, $45. so it's like getting 2 bags of dogfood free!

on thurs everything is going 50% off, but i is staying away, far away.

oh and everyone said to buy something for myself? i finally made it to value village, and grabbed 4 solid maple chairs, with this kewl not wicker, but like craft ribbon seats, for $15 each! and dh bought me a vodka cooler, and i grabbed a just like new caller id phone, fancy thing, $6.

ok so is swagbucks all the same. I signed up under Rose for Jeffree star but see banners for other ones??? Still have no clue what i'm doing on it other then doing searches now. Won $5 in sb's ummm yesterday i think and a $1 today.
My throat is so sore and my left ear hurts and everytime I swollow it crackles and feels like its' gonna pop. Sinuses are majorly stuffed up can't blow my nose lol guess its a good thing they are stuffed instead of running since my ear screamed (I heard it I swear) when I blew my nose! I hate winter!!!
Got a phone call last night some woman said I won a Mac notebook, that I'd be getting a email telling me how to claim it. I was like yeah ok. Sure enough clicked on the link and it was one of those you had to do a survey for and jump thru hoops then you have to sign up for so many of their offers some such crap. Opened saw survey and closed it again.
Off to PS NS Tom was starving last night so I fed him and love2saves Sadie was fading too. You all forget the poor creatures??? For shame! lol told one of the people who added me that I'd fed her pet and she told me thats the whole concept behind PS huh??? The poor thing I can tell she's been there cuz her other meters are up so how come she doesn't ever feed him. His red meter is almost always totally without any red while she's on the forum constantly. Poor thing

Another question for lolcat if you are around.
My mother in law took a wipe out today and home and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She couldnt feel her left leg or move her knee. Turns out it is a broken/torn knee cap. They said they were going to operate and place a pin in it to hold it back in place. Then a doctor came in and said because she has advanced osteoporosis, high bp and diabetic she is high risk for surgery? Why is that?
They said it will heal on its own eventually with a brace and to see a specialist on Monday and they sent her home. She is on crutches at this point but still can't bend it.
The same thing happened my mom 5 yrs ago but it was not as bad and I guess my moms bones are much better.
