Another question for lolcat if you are around.
My mother in law took a wipe out today and home and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She couldnt feel her left leg or move her knee. Turns out it is a broken/torn knee cap. They said they were going to operate and place a pin in it to hold it back in place. Then a doctor came in and said because she has advanced osteoporosis, high bp and diabetic she is high risk for surgery? Why is that?
They said it will heal on its own eventually with a brace and to see a specialist on Monday and they sent her home. She is on crutches at this point but still can't bend it.
The same thing happened my mom 5 yrs ago but it was not as bad and I guess my moms bones are much better.
Anyways any insight on this LOLCAT

my mom feel over ryan when he was 2, he was playing with the brand new puppy. she broke 2 bones in her arm, turned white as a sheet. she has osteoporosis, and high blood pressure. (the way she talks all the time, you would swear she had some rare uneard of disease that has multi chrnoic symptoms)..but anyway, this time she had to go to emerg. they set her arm improperly, and now lost some use of it. it took her along time to heal.

they don't like to operate on high risk situations (my mom is 80 so her age is against her as well). with the highblood pressure, there is higher risk of death or stroke.

but lolcat can surley explain that one better

am so sorry about your mom amy, better if they don't operate, and hopefully it will get better on it's own. but it will take time. is she an active person?

Thnx everyone. Actually it is my mother in law all this happened to you. I guess overall she is kind of active. Very small lady (short and super skinny) but she works night shifts at a pharmaceutical company so I think the nights have taken a toll on her body as well.
I mentioned my mom cuz she also broke her knee cap 6 yrs ago.
