Well, it was a lovely day here today. Winter and I went out and picked up all the crazy neighborhood trash that collected against (and inside!) our hedges. We filled a freaking garbage bag with stuff it was so bad! It doesn't help that we have a bus stop almost square in front of our house.. I think I picked up 18 Tim Horton's cups. When the snow first melted it looked like someone dumped a bag of trash on our lawn.. lol.

I came on to mention what Jo already mentioned.... a ton of new contests up and NO 100 point words on any of them!! What the heck??

Stardreamer -- It is a bit worrisome that you are having so much itching and hotness around the wound. I would make some suggestions, but since you are seeing the surgeon on Wednesday, he should be able to help. You are probably right about the dressing bothering the wound... if he tells you that you have to wait a while still before the surgery, you might want to ask him for some of those net type "socks" that they use for wound care.. it is a little stretchy net that is shaped like a tube, and you stretch it out and slide it up over the dressing to keep it in place.
Chances are he won't want to use your skin for the graft, if you have skin thinning issues... there are several different options for grafts outside of using your own skin, amazingly.

NS -- I totally LOL'd at your "people getting married for gifts" thing. Hubby and I laugh about that all the time.. people we know who have lived together for years just suddenly up and decide to have a big wedding, and conveniently mention where they are registered at. Makes me chuckle... We already KNOW what yer doin over there, just go to the courthouse and get married.

You guys mention the weddings...last year we were invited for a girls 1st birthday party and on the invitation it clearly said 'no boxed gifts' WTF is that...its a child ! So when the mother asked me to RSVP I told her immediately we will not be attending because it sounds more like a cash grab for the parents than the child. She said what do you mean...I jokingly said (well not really jokingly) if you can show me this child has their own account I will personally deposit money for her but to tell me I cannot buy her a gift, I will not be coming to such silliness

Thanks for the compliments on the brats' picture. I read them aloud to them, & while the dog gets excited, the cat just rolls his eyes. He knows full well he's special. They are both good roommates, although they can be naughty at times. I joke that the cat is my living teddy bear because he seems to like playing dress up & I can cuddle him in my arms like a baby for hours at a time, while he purrs half-asleep.

They'd been posing for about 10 minutes when I took that shot, so they were both bored of the photographer's ineptitude - besides, technically I'm the only one old enough to drink, well maybe the dog, but she prefers milk.

Ricki - nice car. Now all the hotties will be chasing after you & you'll have to beat 'em off with sticks.

NS - does that mean I should find a man, just so I can get married & get a boatload of junk?

When my friend bought her condo, she was quite annoyed at the housewarming gifts she got. All her friends got good stuff when they had housewarmings after they got married & moved, she got useless (& cheap) junk. After all, she didn`t need as much stuff cause she was still single, she`d get stuff eventually when she got married. Argh! By the way, she`s 40 & stlll happily single.

Star - if you don't stay off your feet, I'm gonna send my killer cat down to you to keep you in line. & LolCat's suggestion of the stretchy netting is a great idea. I'm wondering if the tape holding the dressing in place is causing irritation to your skin? Oh, & the men on here prolly don't wanna hear what was used for my skin graft. Eewww, but it worked.

LOLCat - I can sympathize with the mess on your lawn. I live in a condo across the street from a tourist attraction. You should see the garbage that gets dumped into the flower beds. Some people's children!

Hope everyone has a good night. I'm off to bed, too long a day for me.

Oh Andit, just the person i was going to PM for pet advice!
(you poor thing.. you should be getting paid for all the advice you give out)

Ok so my mother made a comment the other day that scared me...

I have a new roommate moving in soon and she thinks that my VERY loud yappy cat might be an issue (i've sprayed her with water, ignored her, scolded her and even resort to putting my headphones on at times).
She's 10 yrs old and i've tried everything i can think of to keep her quiet... and the fact that she doesnt like being on a diet now isnt helping the matter.

So... i know some people might think this sounds cruel, but i was wondering if those citronella spraying anti-bark collars would work on a cat? Or if its even something i should think about? If anyone has any suggestions to quiet a yappy cat i'd like to hear them.

I loved it too Haunish couldn't understand what some people were saying about the casting, thought it was mostly awesome casting and thats rare where you really like a book and feel they did a great job casting and with the whole movie!

Lolcat thanks I'll ask him for some I know what it is your talking about with the netting. It has calmed down as far as the weird sensations and shooting pains thru it so going to definitely use the crutches.
lol Andit I'll say it they use "Foreskin" for grafts now. lol very strange but guess it does work great and well kind of makes sense .

Wow PS put out a bunch of new stuff no wonder they took an extra day to do it. Got a gift of one of those eggs got an airplane so went and got another and got a jet! lol too cool but wish they could play with them. Guess you put them with like NYC's scape with the monkey and they do something neat. Like when you click on NYC the money comes out on the empire state building then click again and he goes away. There was other ? marks there and thats what they are for is adding certain toys to it. lol out of 74 friends on my list there wasn't even half that weren't wearing the new St Paddy's day dresses or outfits. They are cute but really only for one day a year.

Have an excellent St Paddy's Day everyone don't drink too much green beer may turn your pee green too hehe! The luck of the Irish be wit ya!

i've tried that quite a few times and so far hasn't worked for me but is it possible that clicking the next page, is the same thing as doing another search?

am glad u spoke up over that one! i would luv to have a birthday that specified what or what not to bring. (no guns..or son luvs to read. subtle hints, or donations can be made to..) but just cash? holy crap nonononono! i know one of my friends, invites like 30 kids, and i always wonder if she returns the gifts to walmart for giftcards to buy something bigger at xmas. now i stick to clothes, cause who needs all them toys? or maybe giftcard to a specific kids store..oh there's an idea

well, as you know my 18 almost 19 year old cat is VERY VOCAL. don't put a barking collar on her. it prolly wouldn't work anyway. and could make her vicious. it depends on what sound she's making ie:

i got one cat here that yells because of the food she's eating she's allergic too, so she's complaining because it's bothering her and i am having a hard time finding the peach color iams that has the salmon not chicken

i got another cat, that hollers to be petted. give her some attention she stops for a bit. she also yells when she's looking for a place to pee, so i put her out, and she yells for food,

it's like having a baby. give it whatever you think it needs, if there doesn't seem to be any reason, you can either try ignoring it, or time her out.

try putting her in the cat carrier when she starts, and let her out when she's quiet?
