Evil Kitten: well, it's nice to see members moving around the site! we get the words from the newsletters. (make sure you are signed up for them all), monthly word hunts, which you will find these words on their partner pages and in the sheknows message boards. sometimes contests will earn you a substantial amount for entering and a piddly amount for voting. (used to be better, things change).
i've gotten so many things over the last year i can't rhyme them all off. but right now sitting on more than 600,000 pts and waiting til they get something good. (besides the wii fit, which will be gone when i get there).
LEFTIE: OMG. it's good to hear from you but OMG gallstones? my sister thought/had those, I don't know if those are anything like a kidney stone, but mine gave me HELL, and my ultrasound was scheduled 6 months. well, the stone wouldn't wait. the day of my graduation fr highschool (mature student) I ended up in the ER with a 104 degree fever, on 2 antibiotics and fricking that meds for pain..starts with a M, i can't think of it right now..the one for really severe pain..? took 3 trips to the lithotripter to blast the sucker, and the lower 1/3 of my back was all bruised--black. never again, i don't wanna go thru that crap again. plus the 6 weeks prior, i was falling asleep at my desk (was the infection).
keep an eye on it chickey, not trying to scare you. but if your hurting at all, go to the ER. the wait times sucks for stuff.
speaking of wait times. blair has to go for doppler on oct 20. i think dr's appt is oct 28. no word on cardiologist but possible they want reg dr to run tests first (makes sense). so far he had chest xray and i think ultrasound..i don't know what else they are sending him forit's overwhelming.

Dopplers aren't too bad, in terns of discomfort. Should be a piece of cake for Blair.
i did that at my friend's place in the summer. I never even saw thepacket - we were having chicken & salad, for goodness sake, nothing that required ketchup. Luckily, she had hardwood, not carpet. But I did get some on her sofa. Still don't know how I managed that one?

If anyone has any knowledge of depression, please pm me. I'm trying to figure out the best way to help a friend who's having a rough time. Thanks.

Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Sorry to hear you've been sick. Eek, sounds painful! Keep an eye on your temp & if it starts climbing get yourself over to the ER. When my appendix burst, the only clue I had something was wrong was a high temp. By that point, my body was ignoring the pain. Hopefully, they'll blast 'em at your appt & you never have to deal with the little suckers again. Take care of yourself!

Welcome to our happy little demented corner! Evil Kitten...you must know my psycho cat Quincy.
The words are found on the partner sites, as NS said. There is also a wiki (link is on the first page of this thread), which lists all the active words, for those who don't have time to read through all our fun chatter.
So far I've received 2 books, a couple of dvds & a dog sweater that has actually become a cat sweater, since apparently size 6 means 6 lbs. Who knew? There's a pic of it on my profile page, if you're curious.
Just be warned, things can get a little racy in here at times, especially when the cougars come out to play.
Welcome again!

Thanks for the words.
I'm so happy this morning. I have to share the good news. For the last 8 years my husband and I have tried pretty much everything to have a baby and nothing worked. We stopped believing it will happen and it finally worked. I did a pregnancy test this morning. I don't know haw far I am. Probably 7 weeks.

Congrats Bouboul and welcome to our corner of the site - the bestest people on the site come here - so welcome and enjoy
Thanks NS and Andit - the pain pills I am on right now are worth a mint on the streets so they doing the trick and actually since I went to work this morning only took 1/2 a pill (not much pain today) so maybe the pain will subside over time - will take a full pill at night just to ensure a good night sleep but only take any pill or 1/2 during day if pain - hoping by tomorrow or next day that pain is gone for now
