Haunish - IMHO my daughter will get it when she's in school. I know it doesn't prevent all kinds, but i do so many things to keep her safe, i'd feel terrible if something happened to her. And i saw the article, but 1 in 1.4 million... how many die from cervical cancer?

Although this is true I would wait until they know for sure that the vaccine caused her death before you make your decision. Also keep in mind the vaccine that they use in England is different from the one they use in Canada--in fact I think England is the only country that has chosen that particular vaccine for its program. Regardless, I think doing research and making an informed decision is a wise idea! Good luck.

Been home sick last couple days - was in ER Saturday night (only a short visit of 4 hours) - severe pains on upper right side - they did xrays and blood tests and said would book an ultrasound. Went for ultrasound yesterday and have several small gallstones - next appointment with a doctor not until Nov 12 - so they can't be too bad - my doctor gave me super drug on Monday for the pain - narcotics - knock me for a loop but no pain. Was glad they didn't need to rush with anything as leave tomorrow night for weekend in TO for brother and SIL's 50th birthdays and then back on Monday in time to take my mom in for hip replacement surgery - told my doctor on Monday that I need to be there for my mom so that hoped whatever is wrong with me can wait. Now to wait and see what will happen with me - fun fun - best make it worth my while for little bit of time off work

I was thinking of my daughter getting it, but thought I heard something negative recently, but I could be wrong, need to do research before my dd gets it

I'm near out of the age range to get the vaccinne but I'm not jumping for it. My mother [a nurse] doesn't want me to get it either dispite her sister [I think half sister...=/] dying of cervical cancer in 2003 suddenly. We feel there's too many unknowns and sudden deaths.. it's like it's still in the trial stages... They don't even know what's going to happened to these girls in 10-30 years

Edit: Leftie I hope you feel better ^.^ Don't trust doctor appointments. It's soooo not true of the old addage.. "Bad news sooner than later" The local hospital gave my sisterinlaw an ultrasound because she was 3 months pregnant and they wouldn't tell her anything and told her to wait 6 days until her doctor was back from vacation.. The doctors kept whispering to themselves [very fricking rude... never goto the Rossmemorial hospital if you're in Lindsay, ontario; it's been dubbed the death hospital for a reason]. 9 days later she finds out that the baby aborted itself maybe 10 days prior. =/ I hate doctors.. they never tell you important things until it's too late or much later.

I'm sure you'll be fine, but I was just saying, lol. If those pills knocked you thru a loop be careful when operating heavy machinery
