anyone know where to get a free virus scan without having to download on puter? i jsut wanna run a scan and not have to have it on puter all tiems. lol tks.

If I remember correctly, I think Trend Micro Housecall has a free online scanner. You do have to have Java and have to download their active X file, but not the program.

House calls is what I turn to when something is bugging my computer and nortons isnt' picking it up. It has found and cleaned up some malware for me and if it doesn't find anything I always feel confident that there isn't anything to find cuz for years its been the one to find any problems over nortons free scan and macafee's free one. Kaprasky's I just started using and so far it's been disappointing. It found some cleaned it up and then found the same exact thing again after I rebooted. Went to house calls and it was gone for good.

Hi Aph,

A couple of things. I'd stress that Cashmere (cute name!) is a beloved family pet who got out accidently & that the kids are worried about him. Also that he was originally one of (? number) in a litter of unwanted kittens you raised & found homes for. I'd also not say that you've applied for help with the neuter, just say that you've conferred with your vet & were waiting for the appropriate time to have him neutered (no one's business why).

There are some overly zealous people out there who see an unfixed critter out loose & assume that the owner is irresponsible & doesn't deserve to own a pet.

Yep ticky they do......However I recommend if your in serious trouble use at least two. SOme find thing others don't.
