Omg thats an awesome deal! I've never heard of Frenchies.. are they a big chain? Yesterday i had an incredible day of shopping at the Salvation Army and Value Village... i found an asian teapot set that ive been eyeing (but could never justify paying $50 for) at Value Village for $5!!! I found a bunch of other stuff for the house, some jeans, some funky shirts and books. By the time i headed home i was carrying 7 full bags of stuff!

Oh and i found the cutest small animal carrier for my friend for $4.. i couldnt resist

ya frenchys is a used clothing store, where everything is shipped from the states. u can get some amazing deals. alot of gap, and old navy winds up there, and many a times i've come across stuff with the price tags still on it.

and they had the most amazing shoes the other day, but they were one size too small

and btw, i had a really FOUL day at the school today. meeting. i'm happy with the school, but that behavioural specialist rubbed me the wrong way. i don't appreciate being treated like an over-reacting, ignorant, uneducated vile piece of crap. and then having my husband side with her? next meeting he's going. but the school admitted they did not handle the situtation according to their plan. so ryan is back in school and now there's a rumor going around that he was suspended now the school is going to say that's my fault for "making the drastic descision to pull him out of school w/o going thru the proper procedure"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUGH

and how many times did that woman cut me off, and din't hear my side? and then to tell me it was one incident it was resolved. WELL EXCUSE ME, but how the hell am i supposed to know almost 3? weeks later that the school even ACKNOWLEDGED they made a mistake cause the first i heard of it was in this meeting?

be warned. once the school system gets their mitts on your kid, they will do WHATEVER it takes to keep them in the system. i donno why. i guess because if enuf parents wise up and realize we don't need teachers to teach our kids basic stuff then they'd all be out of jobs right?

am not going to the next meeting. no way no how no sir!

the school i adore, their beh specialist i hope leaves like the other 2 excellent ones did after a year. just up and disappear. and if she happends to frequent this thread. SCREW U.

I have a carrier just like that. Mine is green and purple and I got it at a yard sale for $0.50. Course it has crayola marks all over it.

Also - if you want to see how much you will get back before you decide on a contractor, you take the amount quoted and minus $1000 then multiply it by 15% (EG That $7000 that was quoted, which is INSANE BTW, would get you back $900)

Thanks Snow, I know all about the tax credit. Don't tell anyone on here but a I work for that place. LOL So far I have over $4000 to claim from my windows. I just didn't think the fence would cost so much.

I am now thinking I might just put chain link up for now untill I can afford a real fence.

Speaking of complete AHOLES - I had an appointment with this fencing place for a quote at the beginning of the month, well the guy never showed (He was from Total Fencing), so anyway I was making calls yesterday and call Bytown Lumber to see if they could do a quote. I the middle of talking to the one guy, he puts me on hold and transfers me to the guy that was supposed to come do the quote. This Randy guy starts yelling at me saying I never showed up for the appointment and how he wasted his time blah blah. Wants to know why I am now trying to get someone else to do the quote. Like I am supposed to know that Bytown Lumber and Total Fencing are the same place?? No where on the business card does it say Bytown Lumber. Says he was there at 3:30 and I wasn't home. I tell him that the appointment was for 4pm and that I was there at 4 and we didn't go out and he never showed. Well the AHOLE insisted that the appointment was at 3:30 and then says that they didn’t want my business and hung up on me. Well, we all know that I do not take that kind of crap. The business card was in the car, and when I checked it said 4pm. Me being me and a BI*C&* called him back when I got home and told him that I had the card in front of me and the time on it was 4pm and before he started getting rude to customers he should check his facts and then slammed the phone down on him. We this complete and total jerk calls back (I was on another call so it went to voice mail) and he starts yelling that I am an AHOLE and that I was lying cause he was there until 4:15. So me being the witch that I am, called him back and told him I now knew he was lying because I was home at 4 pm and he was not there. Next thing I get a call from his boss is calling and apologizing for this guy and says that he will come out personally and do the quote. He doesn’t understand what went wrong this guy has never done this before and on and on. So I said sure come do the quote. Let me tell you they are going to have to come in with a really low price for me to ever use them. It really is too bad for them, because whoever does do the fence will probably be the ones that do my decking in a few years. That is all, I just had to get that off my chest. These companies tend to forget that just because we a females doesn’t mean we don’t have money to spend and that we talk to more people about good and bad jobs and service!!

Speaking of good service. I really like the Midas store where I got my car fixed yesterday. I have been there once before and the guy stayed late to finish the car and did not charge extra. So I call up yesterday to see if I can get the car in and yes they have time. When I go to pick the car up, I say well there goes the fence money, and start telling him about the $7000 quote I got. He then calls a friend of his and gives him the info and asks if he can give me a rough quote. When I call back next week to make the appointment for new shocks and struts, he said he should have the info for me.

there is this lady on our local news channel, they call her the 918 coupon queen. I cant stand her. Would like to shove her tips and coupons where the sun dont shine. My sister gets alot more better deals than she does. But she just found a way to scam people out of money cuase now she teaches a class on it. TIP PEOPLE: IF TIMES ARE HARD DONT TAKE CLASSES ON SAVING MONEY! DOH!!!!!!!!!!!
