Someone was messing with the wiki again this morning! I'm so tired of deleting stuff off of that damned thing.. lol! At least this time it wasn't a bunch of spam!

There's a sort of talk show host that has a show every night with diff panelists. He is right wing & can come across as obnoxious, but seems to have connections with various politicians & might be sympathetic, especially if you mention that you had private insurance because you didn't want to be a burden on Canadian taxpayers.

Can't think of anything else right now, course I've been in bed for most of the last day & a half. I'll call a friend of mine tomorrow who might have some more ideas - he used to work for the Feds, but I don't know if he has any contacts left.

My eyes are blurry again, so I'm off to bed again (it took me an hour to write this little note, ugh I hate being sick!).

I just called have an appointment to get my health card renewed. Have the appointment on the 29th and have to have the new one by the 31st.

Andit! You are full of great ideas I've tried contacting the A channel people, I did that early on because they literally have an office right up the street from me. They said they'd get back to me, then I re-contacted them a few times and they just didn't seem that interested in my story. I'm going to look into a few of your other ideas though! I'll talk to my friend (who used to work for feds) tonight, see if he has any ideas. My friend who works for the province doesn't have any contacts unfortunately, but she's looking into it.

In the meantime, here are a couple of more ideas.

One thing to remember is to ALWAYS mention that you have skills that are in need in Canada (keep telling everyone you are a nurse!). Also, keep mentioning the evil American insurance company (Canadians like to talk about how superior our system is) who cheated you & did not inform you of what was happening. Also mention that you are doing everything you can to pay off the debt yourself, but finding it difficult.

As for the debt, have you tried to take out a line of credit from the bank? The rates are fairly low. Or tack it onto your mortgage?

I'm going back to bed now, but when I wake up, I'll do more digging, see what I can find.

Oh, just thought of this - have you contacted any women's groups? Forcing a very pregnant lady to leave her Canadian born children is something that they'd jump on to get publicity. Yes, they'll try to use you as a martyr, but if you can get what you need out of it, well, hey, the only thing you have to lose is a bit of pride.

As most know digestion is horrible for me and all. This lady was sitting at the table at my support group told me about this supplement that helps with all that (upset stomach , pains, and giving it a kick in the butt). Its called Acidophilus & Bifidus its a supplement comes in pill form. Im currently taking metamucil (2 x daily - double dose but doesnt seem to be working sometimes - everything starting to get backed up again). She told me to check with my family doc (yet I already know my doc will say yes anyways - Im not going to waste my time). Have you heard of it before and should I give it shot to see if it gives alittle kick.
