Im back online, had a tornado warning in our area and the GTA so I hope everyone around here is safe. We spent over an hour in the basement watching high winds, lightning and thunder hit and lights flicker and even though something hit like5 mins away, we are safe.

Well, we survived the storm!! I hope everyone is alright. Vaughan got hit pretty hard - an F2 tornado touched down, rooves missing ... eek!! Durham (near Owen Sound) got hit hard too, I guess. One person dead after a tornado touched down yesterday afternoon. DH is not here (figures there was a big storm), so DS and I camped out in the basement for a couple hours while we watched the storm hit. He ended up falling asleep on my shoulder after the power went out just before 8pm here.

On another note, why is it that when you are extremely financially strapped, all of the big things tend to happen? First it was the plumbing in the tub, then it was the furnace fan motor burning out, and now our hot water heater is leaking like a seive. Hopefully what they say "bad things always come in threes" is true, and this is the end of it for a while. I don't think DH can keep up much more if this keeps up. I'm making enough to cover groceries, but that's about it.

Has anyone heard from lolcat lately? I've been thinking about her a lot. I hope baby is alright, and that she hasn't had to leave Canada.

my dd is watching the movie Grease..she is 10 and huge into musicals anyone on here know of anyother musicals she would like..she has watched mamma mia and loved that as well

A personal favourite is West Side Story! My cousin's two-year old loves that one too. She sings along. Very cute!

The Sound of Music is also a wonderful one. Many kids like the fact that there are children in it.... maybe the war stuff is a little scary. I watched it at that age though and my parents were pretty picky about what they let us watch....
