Thanks for all the words, everyone.
Mr. Holland's Opus isn't a musical, but it has some music in it.
And there's a movie starring Whoopie Goldberg who plays a Nun... don't remember what it's called... but that one has some music too.
I think Sunset Boulevard is a musical, but I don't know what it's about so I don't know if it would be appropriate.

Hi,
I won't normally ask this of the group but I'm a little desperate right now. My husband is a writer and he's entered an erotic writing contest. Voting closes tonight at midnight and we would greatly appreciate any votes as we're just been knocked out of the lead. My hubby has always wanted the grand prize which is a latex vac bed and I really want him to have it. I've been contesting for a number of year now with great sucess, but my hubby has never won a thing in his life. Honestly!
I know the content of the website hosting the contest can be offensive to some people and that is not my intent here. Please don't feel you have to vote if you're not comfortable with the content.
Thank you all.
Sonja
Voting instructions:
Hello - I need your help.
I've written a short piece for a story contest to win a Latex Vacuum Bed. The winner is the story with the most votes, and there are 60 entries.
My entry is entitled "Charles" and is written under the pseudonym Butch Ramrod.
I would very much appreciate it if you would vote for my story. It does however require you to register on the forums of the hosting site which I'll try to make easy for you.
The stories are posted here:
http://www.grometsplaza.net/latex/contest/latexstories_contest2009.html
There is a link at the bottom of the posting section to go and vote on the stories, this takes you into the discussion forum. At the top right is a link to register for the forum, which you need to do before you cast your vote.
I realize this is a little convoluted, but I would appreciate your support very much - Let me know if you have any problems.
Cheers,
Steve.

It's Sister Act & it does have great music in it.
Sunset Boulevard is a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Lovely music, but very adult in nature. Struggling writer turned gigilo for an aging actress. The only version on dvd, at least from what I've found, is the drama, so no music (if anyone knows of the musical on dvd, please let me know, I LOVE the soundtrack!).
I don't think Cats is on dvd, but that would be fun. Maybe I should borrow my friend's cats & do my own version. My Quincy cat would be perfect as Mr Mistofeles. Of course, my version would have to include at least one dog.

Ricki - that's too funny. Just let her fuss over you. It's what grandmothers are for!! Mine won't leave me alone right now either. I see her 4 or five times a week right now because she thinks that I can't do anything for myself right now. Ya, okay - my house is clean, my family is fed, laundry is always caught up - but I can't do anything for myself. I just grin and bear it.

Morning all.
We just got power back on (went out around 7am, I think, I was sleeping). I'll never understand why I only lose power when it's sunny. We had no issues the other day during that wicked storm.
Off to my parents' today. We're celebrating my Dad's & my dog's b-days. Instead of a liver cake, I baked a ham pie for Lily dog (&, of course, Quincy cat). Maybe one of these days, I'll actually bake a pie for myself.
Hope everyone has a good day!

OK, quick update. blair went for the ultrasound last week, and the dr appt is this wed. he's thinking if it was anything serious she would get him in sooner. how u can get in sooner than a week anyway at her office, I DONNO. so i'm not confident with it based on that.
wotelse? ryan has one week of swimming left. he's doing AMAZING. tried to upload photos, but this stupid samsung phones software won't detect the phone when plugged in. nokia works so much better. *fume* so will post to facebook if i get a chance, got some pics of the lake, and u can see how far he had to swim. really amazing, considering this kid failed the very first level cause he wouldn't put his face in the water!
other than that, oh, my feet are swollen like ballons, probably cause the humidex is 33 here ALL WEEK. it's nice, but 6 hours at the beach ea day is taking it's toll. supposed to be cooler monday. cause of hurricane ig uess.
hope everyone in ON is safe. i heard about the tornado. scary stuff! everone on east coast, batten down for the winds and rains. kaela/snake/flip, and the rest of the newfs: hope u don't lose power! should be passed us monday pm. the weather here is GORGEOUS. the calm before as they say. so damn true. best weather i have seen in a long time.
everyone stay safe, take care! will let u know if i hear anything.
tick: have u gotten ahold of lolcat? i want to call her but i figure i'd have no better luck than you.
