well I have my wisdom teeth out tomorrow sooooo scared I hate sugery/doctor type stuff being put out for sure but that just makes me more nervous I dont want to be put out but I dont want to be awake either

Good luck, Rose. It will all go smoothly, not to worry.

When I had mine out when I was 16, it was quite quick & painless. The only bad part was when the stitches came out (they were dissolving stitches, but for some reason one little piece wouldn't dissolve so kept bugging me - dentist took care of it at follow-up, again no pain).

& just think, by tomorrow night, it will be overwith.

ya I guess so I have to take four days off work which they are ok with I went in and talked to them tonight after the consultation and they were like get it done lol...I just dont like being put out lol it just makes me nervous...when I had tonsils out I had to have a needle to calm me I was sooo high strung and nervous LOL trying to not think about it but it freaks me out still to be put out and not know how things are going with the surgery lol...going to make jello tonight so I'm prepared for the days ahead

I've had surgery while "awake" (ok, I was kinda loopy, but could hear & see everything) & surgery while out cold. Trust me, you're better off out cold. During one surgery when I was awake, they had to knock me out cause I kept cracking jokes & distracting the Dr. I was just trying to join the conversation, they were having fun first.

haha well they gave me the option said it would be cheaper if i stayed awake and they froze me but I would probably pass out if I heard and saw everything going on with my teeth and apparently they can be hard to get out and they have to jerk and tug a lot...um no thanks I want to miss that haha

Her dentist wants to send her to one of his colleagues for a second opinion. I was teasing her that maybe fate was gonna send her to someone cute for her b-day.

My dentist says I most likely never get them. My jaws way too small and half my teeth never came in so its basically the same for my wisdom teeth.

Not to scare anyone ... Lol but it was painful.

Had my wisdom teeth pulled in march, all four.... And even though they gave me the "funny gas." (lol) i was so groggy i was like being really drunk..... Lol ...... I still felt a bit of pressure while they were pulling them out, especially the top ones, since the root had formed abit already... I was in pain for about 2-3 weeks. But by far the first week was the worse.... I could not fully open my mouth for about one month while it was healing. Still have the holes and they are slowly closing.

Once again, i hope i did not scare anyone all the best !!!!

Just the very thought of it and reading everyones comments, omg i would not want to go through it again !!! But to be honest i dont think i would have wanted to be knocked out cold ....

ahhh i dont think you can scare me any worse than mom has...she was bruised from the waist up and she was sooooooo sick after she was throwing up blood etc...am hoping I'm not THAT bad...but they said they will prescribe pain pills that I can get after and hopefully that will be ok.
