I need 15 calendars! Got any ideas?

A classmate of mine (we are 4th year social work students) has her placement at a home for teens with crisis pregnancies.

She needs 15 calendars (the kind you would keep in your purse to write appointments, etc.) and FREE is the key! She has nothing in the budget for this.

I told her that the free Molson's calendars that we could get on campus were completely inappropriate for her client population, but said I would try very hard to find another source.

Any ideas SCer's???

maybe try the health unit, or social services??? they might be able to direct you in the right place if they can't provide any...or maybe insurance companies...state farm used to have that great pregnancy book..they might have some calendars. Good luck!

Try places like banks and real estate agents. Our dentist also gives out calendars and diaries, doctors, pharmacy might also be worth a go.

I always get them at banks, I have one from my insurance agent too and many of the big corps have them to give to employees and in swag bags for guests etc

We got nice ones at a business meeting last week, they even have a pen and post it notes for reminders etc on the first page.

Talk to realtors in the area!! I get about that many mailed to me each year.

I recently attended a Career and Job Expo at my school and there were a lot of calendars being given away. Many engineering firms like TransCanada, ConocoPhillips, ARC, etc. allow you to take as many products as you want. Also, she can check out the dollar store; they sell calendars! GL. =)

My dentist office gives them away for free,maybe you could check out yours. The dollar store is great to as mentioned.

There are great calendars sent out by our government each year, called 'Smart Consumer Calendars'. They're fantastic (and free). They're filled with all kinds of helpful tips and suggestions for Canadian consumers. You can download them or order a hard copies (as many as you need).

It doesn't look like the 2011 ones are available yet, but I'm sure they will be. Here's the link:

When I was at Michael's the other day they had calendars (full size and pocket sized ones) for $1.50. If really stuck you could use coupons and get them fairly cheap.

Have your friend ask her doctor or pharmacist to check with drug companies. They all have freebies and I am sure someone would have calendars to share. (Especially good would be birth control companies, like Wyeth)

Hallmark used to give out the little ones.
Most companies have the full-sized ones.
Otherwise, they are $1 at the dollar store. Maybe someone can donate this purchase.

- Has no budget so FREE is the operative word.


When does she need them by?
Does she need them for the remainder of 2010?
What school/campus is she located at?
