I don't know anything about vitamins really but I did recently do a test to find out if the viatmins were being absorbed. I had read about it in a health magazine. You had to drop a pill in a glass of warm water. After 15 min(?) it should start to dissolve when you touch it. I had a whole bunch of Multibionta I threw out. I didn't notice any differnce in the 3 months I took them. Of course I have know idea if the test is accurate. Just food for thought.

They do work, I was curious when I was pregnant and bought one. I have seen several people on here say that they have used them too and they were completely accurate

I've actually had the cheap tests tell me I was pregnant before a first response would!!!

Though don't look at the. After the allotted 10 minutes as they are more likely to develop evaporation lines (which can be mistakenly read as a positive)!! You're not supposed to look at any test after 10 Mins anyhow!!

Discovered a box of video games in the skids. Mostly kids PS2 games, some PC games, and the odd Wii and Nintendo DS one. I grabbed these two for myself Really happy about the bargain. Unfortunately, we haven't received any games in a long time (probably cause we're stuck with 30 copies of The Naked Brothers Band in stock still...), so I really hope they send us more!

Dollar store pregnancy tests are as accurate as regular ones. The strips sell on ebay for something like $12 for 50. The fancy plastic design and the digital readouts are what you pay for.

They've been approved by whoever approves such things as being accurate here in Canada, so go for it!

Though I'd still be wary about those condoms...Even if they are approved.

Has anyone else found the Starfrit salt and pepper mill? I've looked in 2 different Dollaramas - no luck. I did however find some really cool Coca Cola glasses, 3 different styles: clear glass, green glass, green heavy glass with handle. I bought the 3rd one. Prices ranged from $1 to $1.50 I think.

Your are right, the pregnancy test are accurate and approved by Health Canada. I cant remember the name now but they actually are sold in pharmacies under a different name for around $16.00. There was a big fuss a few years back when they were removed from the shelves and they ended up admitting that it was because the second name was never cleared with Health Canada. They did and now they can sell the same product under a different name and different price.

the strip in the pregnancy tests is the same strip you will find in an expensive one. I have used many of the $ store ones ( I am paranoid) and when I was pregnant, the line showed up instantly.

Thanks to contributors to this thread, I found some Hawaiian Punch. Replaced my silicone spoonula with one with a metal handle for $3 (the plastic handles melt easily if you forget and set on pan edge). One badly battered Betty Crocker springform pan, but I'll be on the lookout for these!

One thing I didn't find, was a kangaroo ball. They apparently had them a couple of weeks ago, my grandson was loving a neighbour kid's! They are deflated, so look for a hanging flat package.

Couldn't find the cake decorating sheets, but what an awesome idea. I'll continue to watch for them.

Also, if anyone has not tried the re-usuable silicone papers for baking, they are awesome. Twice for greasy stuff, or 5 or more uses for cookies.
