I love the Mob Idea as well.

Sometimes I wish I had a hidden camera to show everybody how we get treated at times. It's often ridiculous how we get treated like garbage. The funny thing is they allow them selves to talk down to us couponers. A thing that and would never be tried on a non-couponer customer.
It seems that if you try to save a few bucks, because let's admit it folks we are not saving thousands or even hundreds everytime we shop, like our neighbour shoppers in the states, we get treated like the bugs that belong at the bottom of a dirty barel.
Sometimes I am sooo tired of being treated that way. I am not one to back out easily and am not about to stop using coupons. But sometimes I wonder!...

if you're a group of brides-to-be at a dress sale, there is a news story about you.
if it is boxing day, and you are lined up at 5am, there are others there doing the same and chuckling about how silly you all are.
if you are a woman using a few coupons to save money and run your household you are belittled and mocked.
these hostile types need to be dealt with. (ok that sounded creepy hehe)
seriously tho, i think we are all more than tired of being treated this way ourselves, and hearing stories of our SC friends being treated as such.In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

That's awful treatment you got.Why didn't those complaining customers go to another register, check out at customer service themselves or check out at the jewellery section or check out at the entertainment section.

I am sorry you had such a terrible experience. Knock on wood, I haven't had one in quite some time. Most of the cashiers in my town are starting to get to know me, its a very small town and usually the same people working in every store I go to. So Im lucky in that department. But couponing definitely takes some balls when it comes to a snotty cashier. We have to stand up for ourselves. I am the most shy timid person you could ever meet, but you can bet your sweet butt no cashier is going to tell ME how I can use my coupons, if they dont like it, or won't allow it, I make it a point to tell them I will be using it at there competitors store instead. That usually makes them ring it through =)

Its awful but true - the way they are treating you would never be tolerated to another (non-couponing) customer. I wish I lived near you - I love that coupon mob idea and wouldnt hesitate in taking part.

Sorry you had such a terrible time there. Everytime i use coupons, i get very nervous and flustered and pray i don't get hassled. Last week in Walmart in Scarborough i got a good cashier but she was taking forever to read them and even ran quickly to CS to double check the coupon which is fine except for the stupid, rude lady behind me huffing and puffing that she had to wait and get this, all she had was a lousy jar of baby food. When i lined up and started my transaction, there was nobody behind me. And btw, there is an express line-up for your 1 jar i felt like telling her. And who buys 1 jar??!! If you made the effort to walk in Walmart all the way to the baby section, grab a couple jars LOL. Another woman rudely told the cashier "you can put all my things back" as she got fed up waiting for him to put my coupons through and dumped her items on the belt and walked out. I get embarrased but too bad! We have every right to use these coupons and save money, the stores need to update thier policies and educate their employees!
Two weeks ago at Walmart in Scarborough, i had a young cashier around my age and as she was scanning my coupons, she asked "Hey have you seen that coupon show?" so i totally had to show her my coupon holder. She asked where i get them all and i told her about SC so she got a piece of paper and asked me to write it down and some other sites! My mom was all "oh you're turning everyone on to you coupons now!". So once in awhile, i get a nice cashier who doesn't mind the coupons!
I wish stores would make one cashier lane a designated coupon friendly check-out! They could put a cashier on that check-out who's really familiar with the policies and that way people can choose if they want to line up behind people using coupons. Yeah my wishful thinking LOL

I 100% agree with you. It would make things much easier for all parties involved. PLus the cashier at that checkout would get used to the coupons after a while and not need to read and scrutenise everyone everytime.
I must imagine that the cashiers are also being put on a close watch so they don't take fraudulant coupons. But in the end it's the customer using the coupons that pays the price from hangry cashiers, not so nice CSM and discrunted customers that are behind us.
I think I will go and Apply at my local WM for a job

Without mentioning what the coupon was, what the product was, what the issue was...this is just a meaningless rant. Maybe the staff was wrong, maybe the customer was trying to do something wrong, no possible way to judge either way as you started a whole thread without even hinting at the issue. Quite frequently, including many threads here, it is the customer doing something wrong.

please come shop at my Pickering Walmart, we are very friendly there. You need to call the store manager of that store or email our Home office and complain, you need to tell them the name or operator number on the top of your receipt...and the csm if you have that...so sorry you had so much trouble. Walmart has a new coupon policy and you should not be having any trouble.
