Anyone else thinking of firing up the furnace today?

I'm freeeeezing and not happy about it.

I did just that a couple of days ago; woke up Thurs morn & the house was 16, I was just freezing

Received the Call into w*rk, so I have already done that.
On my way in, I stopped by the Home Depot to say "Hi" to Joanne.
Did not get any Gift Cards, but that is OK.
Could have gotten another T-Shirt & Mug, but I am not Greedy... so I passed.
Did pickup a Cool Q107 "Laser Pointer", though.

Just having a Coffee before I get to the unpaid w*rk around the Home.

He was almost humble when he began and seemed more sincere .......

Nope... our heater on the boat isn't working.... another thing for the "job jar" to fix for next season..... it's actually quite comfortable at the moment, so hopefully it will stay warm enough for us throughout the night. We did just light the stove to boil the kettle and I have a lot of tea lights that I can burn...

it was a beautiful day here today!! Plenty of sunshine, blue sky and a temperature of about 15 when we got here at 11:30 or so... It was weird how nice it was getting as we drove away from the city.... I spent another 3 hours sanding the top of the bunkie so that I can do another coat of paint again tomorrow..... thank goodness for the orbital sander I bought for hubby a few years ago for father's day - I think I've used it more than he has!!!

So I'm back home, and completely exhausted after the 16.5 hours trip back. I'm going to bed. I'll probably wake up early tomorrow, so I'll try to get a few more cash track, before I settle in my routine.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday... It was beautiful this am and afternoon...
No heat on in here today. Our bedroom gets the sun all am and it is the entire
width of our house...
I had to open up windows to cool it off and only closed them when the sun
began to set. I also put socks on...

Thank you for all the reps, trivia, and the cash tracks... I am surprised at how
few there have been today...

Spent most of the day outdoors... working on the lawn and garden...
Lucky was out on the back deck for close to 4 hours too...

We haven't had dinner yet as we ate our lunch near 3....
and couldn't make up our minds what we wanted to eat...

I think a good bowl of home made chicken soup is in order....

Jenny & Shirley were elephants at the same circus when Jenny was
just a little calf and Shirley was in her 20's.
The two lived one winter together, but then were separated 22 years ago.
It's very rare for elephants to display this kind of emotion in captivity,
and it's probably the first time such an occasion has been documented
on film.
Heart warming... and absolutely worth the watch.

Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

I spent most of the day outside with some friends (neighbours). Luckily, I had 5 layers of clothes on to protect me from the chilly summer day (I have another week or so of official summer, can the skiers please let me have a few more hours of 40C weather? ). We were all a bit too tired to go out to dinner, so we decided to get together at one gal's apt, raid our freezers & whip up a lovely dim sum. Think I'll take my cue from the critters & call it a night.
