American Thanksgiving

It’s American thanksgiving, which means Black Friday deals are popping up, marking the unofficial kick off to the holiday season on both sides of the border. Canadian retailers are expecting one of the busiest Black Fridays ever with deals on everything from tech to toys and travel. Analyzing purchasing data from 2016 and 2017 predicts holiday spending at local retailers in Canada will actually peak on Saturday, November 25th this year. Parade-goers are lining up on the streets of New York as the 91st Macey’s Thanksgiving Day parade takes place in Manhattan’s upper west side. Thousands of officers are on duty as security is beefed up significantly for the parade. Police openly admitting there is concern for the possibility of "truck ramming tactics" as encouraged by ISIS and other terrorist groups. Millions are still expected along the parade route.
