Good Morning!!! I have so much catching up to do since I slept in yesterday.

Our backyard has over 2 feet of snow and I know it will melt with the warm temps but my son spent the whole day Sunday in the backyard! What a hoot! Sorry Lee. Hubbie and son were just so happy to see that it worked.

The good news: xrays revealed hand, wrist, arms, shoulder all OK.

The bad news: post op, the IV had been inserted incorrectly.

If we hadn't alerted the staff of a suspected problem - when might they have noticed on their own?

You have rights including the fact that a fractured hip should be operated on within 48 to, at the most, 72 hours of the break. Consider the unecessary gamma ray exposure from the x-rays that didn't need to have been taken if the proper initial post-op care had been taken with the IV and its unforgivable that no-one could have detected that problem when m-i-l was exhibiting symptoms of a painful wrist.
Here's a couple of contacts I pulled off the web before I started typing. Check if they're both current and you could start there:

Rob Devitt, Toronto East General Hospital CEO and IABC/Toronto Communicator of the Year. (CNW Group/IABC Toronto)

Shelley Darling, Director of Corporate Communications, Planning and Memberships of TEGH, explains, "By quickly determining that the hospital's governance issue stemmed from poor communication, Rob sought to restore trust through a commitment to transparency and managed to prevail where many others had been unsuccessful."

Don't let these clowns get away with their sub-standard care - we're not a 3rd world country dammit

That is absolutely horrible!!! I agree that you should document everything in a time-line of the events to date and report it. Praying that your MIL will have a speedy recovery.

Blue Mountain pushed their opening day to December 17th. Lakeridge pushed their opening day to December 22nd.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Going out to brave the downtown crowds to do a little more shopping. Already got my daughter her "main" gift a new camera with HD video but of course theres more to get. Buying the memory card added to the price and I took out the 4 year extended warranty for $60. Now I'm wondering if I should have, I usually don't go for those extended warranties, they have them for everything you buy these days and the stores make a good buck off of them when nothing goes wrong. I may reverse it but I haven't had time to think about it much.

I Personally do not do "Extended Warranties".
What Percentage of the Camera is that $60?
    75%?
    50%?
    25%?
    I am Guessing "High".
In 2-4x Years, the Price for the Camera will be significantly Reduced (compared to now).
A New Camera might be preferred in 4x Years Time.

    CUTE Pic, by the way!!!!
