It has been 9 years since my sweet Mother departed from this life & I am remembering her with such fondness. She always had a way of putting things into perspective & making her point in some very thought provoking ways.

Miss you & love you always & forever.

Is it me or just nostalgia speaking when I ask of you,
Are Christmas memories more precious as the years of living accrue?
Back when you were little & magic seemed so real,
Life to you was in a world that was really quite ideal,
Leafing through the catalogue & doing a little dreaming,
Hoping Santa knew you had behaved in ways that were redeeming,
Long before the high tech days & before unplugged was cool,
When the countdown was on for holidays & finally no more school,
My mom would disappear into her room with rolls of wrapping paper,
Sneaking a peak was tempting, but I could never pull off that caper,
The house always looked so nice decked in euphoric merriment,
Through my eyes now looking back it was really quite an event,
I realize now how my parents defined what it is to give your all,
& when I get the Christmas blues that’s the memory that I recall,
Sometimes at Christmas we grumble about how busy it tends to be,
Obligations & visiting those whom you don’t really care to see,
You are after all accumulating remembrances you can just chalk up to life,
Be as kind as your can to others, it will help you deal with strife,
Times may be hard for some of us, & we all have our concerns,
So my Christmas wish for all of you is that you have many happy returns.

Good Morning!!! I have so much catching up to do since I slept in yesterday.

Our backyard has over 2 feet of snow and I know it will melt with the warm temps but my son spent the whole day Sunday in the backyard! What a hoot! Sorry Lee. Hubbie and son were just so happy to see that it worked.

Man made snow is much more durrable than the natural snow.
Enjoy your hydro bill!!!!!

Blue Mountain pushed their opening day to December 17th. Lakeridge pushed their opening day to December 22nd.
Hopefully our backyard will remain open till these guys are up and running.

Here's hoping today's the day I *finally* finish decorating my trees - the big one (2ft high) is left, the other 7 are done. If I can find out where my cat burglar hid the camera cable (not in any of the usual hiding spots), I'll post pics.

I'm supposed to hang out with my neighbour & make hors d'oeuvres this afternoon. Good thing we'll be at her place, or there wouldn't be any left once my little tast testers did their job.

Thanks for your opinion Wolfie, I know what you mean. The cost of this warranty was less than 25% of the camera but the camera does have it's own 2 year warranty. I was so rushed that night, I thought 4 years was a good thing for peace of mind and they gave it to me cheaper than usual but still. It's just my daughter had been looking up a lot of cameras and a lot of them seemed to need repairs after a certain point. Your right after a few years you may want something else......Maybe I should get my money back
