It’s meatball Monday here in my abode,
I just hope my meatballs are up to code,
Into the crock pot as they’ve been nicely browned,
Do you ever buy chicken that has been ground?
Sweet & sour sauce with a little bit of zing,
Hopefully so yummy that they’ll make us sing,
I’ll serve them up on a bed of egg noodles,
If the family doesn’t like them, they can open a can of zoodles,
A tasty spinach salad to serve as a side,
Its Monday kids just take it in stride.

A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in California when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.
The driver, a young man in a Brioni® suit, Gucci® shoes, RayBan® sunglasses and YSL® tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"
Bud looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, Why not?"

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell ® notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3® cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.
The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop® and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany.
Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot® that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an MS-SQL® database through an ODBC connected Excel® spreadsheet with e-mail on his Blackberry® and, after a few minutes, receives a response.
Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet® printer, turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."
"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud..
He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man
stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then Bud says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"
The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, “Okay, why not?"
"You're a Congressman for the U.S. Government", says Bud.
"Wow! That's correct,” says the yuppie,” but how did you guess that?”
"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about how working people make a living - or about cows, for that matter. This is a herd of sheep.
Now give me back my dog.

Happy Monday morning. We are having some furnace issues at home, but I am at work now. It was 15.5 C in the house this morning. Oh, I sure hope we don't need a whole new furnace. Aside form the cost, the guys that finished that section of the basement may not have left enough room to easily remove and replace... stress!!!!
Winning a trip would make me feel better. :O)

Hello all!

Just got back from taking Michelle, Isaac's mom, hubby Andy, his parents and of course Isaac for Michelle's birthday dinner at Montana's. Very child friendly!

The house in Kitchener closed yesterday, finally! Now to put a quick reno on the house in St. Catharines and hopefully have that sold by May so I'll be free of headaches!

To everyone with the tropical blues
bring a taste of the tropics into your
own house, here's how and it doesn't
cost you 0, zip , nada.

I've had success with cutting off the top of the pineapple, leaving about 1/2 inch of flesh, and sitting it in a ziplock bag with about an inch of water in it. Don't close the bag, just sit it in a shady spot for about a week. Then plant it in potting soil, and put it in filtered sun. I have 11 plants growing right now. The oldest (6 yrs.) started producing this spring and the baby is 4 inches tall. I had to put the apple slice and the plastic bag over the next one, and that baby is about 1 inch now. Just took the bag off the 3rd. plant last week. No sign of a baby yet.
(not my words , some tree-hugger, but it works )

MicheleM would like me to say hello to everyone on her behalf.

She feels that things for her are starting to come together. Her house closed yesterday & she is feeling life moving ahead for her.

She is one determined & strong lady & I sure miss her on here.

Michele thinks of us often & who knows, maybe she will come back for a visit one of these days soon.

Make sure you say a big hello back at her and we miss her.. hope thing will be much better soooooon

Good morning everyone... what a wild windy weekend. My Brother In Law loves Kelly Clarkson, friends knew a big roller at the casino and got him tickets..he was esctatic... however they didn't tell him he was going to meet her, he was over the moon(good thing my sister isn't the jealous type) pictures to follow

My sister and my neice went to the ice dogs game yesterday when the young Connor Crisp had to step in and play goalie.. what a game for a young child(my neice is 9) to see and learn from
