I spent today with my dad in NOTL... I got a message last week while in Jamaica that my dad had another major stroke... He's had several over the last few years, but this one has done him in... He is now in palliative care and has stopped eating and drinking.... Although he can't speak, he squeezed my hand and wouldn't let go when the nurses tried to freshen him up.... he also kissed me back, so I know for sure that he knew I was there...

Dad is 89 years old and raised me from the age of 11.... I was defiantly daddy's little girl... It's so sad to see him like this when he was so independent just a few years ago...

Oh Lee I'm so sorry *hugs* I know exactly how that feels. Spend as much time with him as possible Lee, he knows you're there no matter how it looks, he knows.
