Good morning folks! One step closer to the weekend. My lovely daughter is turning 16 this Saturday and I am starting to feel a little emotional about the whole thing. Today, as part of her gift, she is getting her hair dyed purple on the bottom. Seems this is the hip thing to do these days. Big field party happening Saturday night to celebrate, reminds me of my own youth (without the purple hair!) Enjoy the day...

add that to the crazy madcat, who caught and killed one sparrow, almost got a morning dove,
crazy how fast she is. next day grabbed another sparrow - had water spray bottle,
so she dropped the poor bird, got maddy inside, bird on the bench.
20 ish minutes later it flew to mountian ash tree and sat for another 20 ish minutes
finally decided to fly down and eat some seed.
i need some sort of meds for this cat, she is too quick and devious

Happy Bluesy Thursday, Q sters,
love that weather difference across the bay. it was sunny when i left home, then crossed the bridge to cloudy, dull skies. what a difference a bridge makes.
today seems to have started off a little slower that the past couple of days.
tonight, rodent & i are off to see a ABBA tribute band at the Acton Community Center. it's sponsored by CASHH (cancer assist services of halton hills). the proceeds go to CASHH to help continue their assistance to cancer patients & their families in giving medical supplies, rides to & from doctors appointments or treatments, etc. should be a great night. apparently they look & sound just like ABBA. tomorrow night, it's off to Pat Benatar, so looking forward to that. one of my favourite 80's groups.

If you are a folkie, have a listen to 45 Years by Stan Rogers - for his wife,
ELO so sensual & they still have Strange Magic as far as I am concerned,
Neil Young would have earned a million airmiles as his albums kept my turntable turned!
I love how the Wilbury's travelled & made the End of the Line so appealing,
My, how Pink Floyd's Us and Them was deep & so revealing,
Roxanne shouldn't Stand So Close to others; you can even ask The Police,
& how many songs have been written & sung specifically all about peace?

Thank you to the Jester for his suggestions about ways to get to sleep. It isn't every night, but I do seem to have a couple of nights in a week when I can't get into the sleep mode.
Some people suggest melatonin?

What finally made me tired enough to sleep last night was sewing buttons on a jacket. Hey H-Team, I'm sure you & your lovely daughter will really enjoy the Abba tribute. They were one of the most unique groups that arrived on the scene in North America. Pat Benetar tomorrow should be pretty darn cool! AlohaMom I'll have to set my mind to purple & sweet 16 poems.
