Hello everyone....I hope this finds you all well & delightful,
I could complain about the food here; but that would be spiteful,
They say I'll be here for about 3 more weeks,
I am still determined, though sometimes I think my body creaks,
Not much to report, except I shall get there one day,
& be back with you all in my Loocie style & way,
Soon they will serve dinner & I will lift the lid,
& if I tried selling it on Ebay I wouldn't garner one single bid,
Lucky for me I have a friend who brought me chicken on a bun,
& a spinach salad to spice up my fun,
Stay well my friends & just know that I am thinking of you,
Cause we must stay Smart Canucks who are tried & true.

Evening Folks
Just back from a loverly long walk with Aussie Girl....I love it when she smiles, and right now I swear her grin is from ear to ear. Watching a bit of tennis (US Open)...Wimbledon is on my bucket list
Hope this message finds you all keeping well...Surely we all feel a little brighter with Loocie's poem.

Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

I had another fun, busy day. The treat dispensers came by with food (yippee!). Just when I thought I could get on with the usual day to day stuff, the gas folks paid a visit. Even though I don't have gas appliances, they insisted on coming in to do a full inspection. Needless to say, the tall one interfered (a HUMAN!!! Yippee!!! Do you have food????? Can I kiss your nose????). Good thing they weren't scared of puppy dogs.

The highlight for me was when my sweet neighbour gave me some cookie cutters (yes, I know, I don't need any more, it's an addiction!). Not only was it a sweet gesture, she gave me one I've been searching for for a while.

Then tonight, a handsome young actor who I haven't seen in a while came to a show at the theatre. It always thrills me when someone of that calibre recognizes me on the street & says hi.

Off to see what I missed in SC land.

Just in from Corus.
Triumph were great, they did a question and answer before the screening.
Very open and down to earth, funny too.
Told a few stories from when they were playing high schools in Scarborough back in the day.
How their piro's kept catching things on fire.
They recalled various venues and gigs, including my favorite The Knob Hill Hotel!

After the video screened, everyone lined up for a picture with the band.
They were so friendly and gracious. Shaking hands and talking to each and everyone.
Shaun took the pictures and will email them out tomorrow.

I took a few pictures and will try and post them later.
Was great to see Karl, Ecatt and Lee Ann

yes, I agree with mechman, the band was very down to earth and talked of the past, I remember the old Knobbie too, as does mechman and Karl!!! It was a bit of a rough bar but there were some great bands playing there, bet we passed by each other back in the day guys!!!!

Yes we all got to see their Live at Sweden Rock Festival DVD and then afterwards everyone got a copy of it which includes a CD!

We all got our pictures taken, as luck would have it my camera's card was full right at the moment I went to take a pic with the band!!! but Shaun will e-mail me one and Karl took one with his phone! All in all a great night and really nice to see Karl, Lee and mechman!

Good to hear Aussie Girl is smiling, I like it when she smiles too!!!! I'll bet she's been smiling a lot since you took her in and became such a good friend to her!!! I love happy endings!
