Andi, I really feel for you. The stinging reality of betrayal is sure a crushing feeling. I feel so sad for you. Also Wolfie, you are a gem of a guy. I'm glad you are moving forward & may your new position bring you the happiness & contentment that you deserve. That is some roofing job knottythots, at least you will have the security of a well done job. So many people have been totally ripped off by second rate roofers.

Dealing with a weird situation & not sure how to react. I just found out some friends of mine betrayed me" They did things I would not have expected them to do. These are folks I see & chat with regularly & I'm not so much angry as disappointed that they acted as they did. Long convoluted story short, they are friends with an individual I do not like (I don't do well with folks who are obvious manipulators and use people). There are very few people I cannot get along with, this is one of them (I never bash this person, just chalk it up to personality clashes, but there is a lot more to it than that). At this point, I'm going to just go along with things as if I never found out about this, but I will certainly have to re-examine just how much I confide in them. The one friend really disappointed me, I went through a year of helping this individual with things that would have cost her over $1K, but she didn't have to pay a dime because of what I did (sometimes causing me a lot of bother).

At this point, I'm not going to cut anyone out of my life (we're all part of a larger group that gets together, so it's not feasible). I just won't go out of my way to help these folks. Which really makes me sad.

Good morning, everyone.

Thank you so much for all the support. Still feeling a bit weird about the situation. The strange thing is that I don't think the so-called friends even realized how hurtful their actions were or how those actions would have a direct impact on me. Somehow that's even worse than if they were simply malicious.

On the plus side, I've decided to devote today to playing with the brats. Everything else can wait. The brats are still sound asleep, so fun time will have to wait until they've had their beauty sleep.

Still lots of grey skies, but it looks like it might be clearing. Sunshine would be a nice treat.

i feel sickened hearing about andi and wolfie's experience.
(only reference i have is what canada post management was able
to do to me, but what the heck who needs that pension eh?
i still remember who but so what? shoot i seem to be bothered, ppphhhttt)
but a personal one, not sure i'd recover very easily.

and because i try and think hell something funny,
although this isn't that much - paul revere as in him
and the raiders died last weekend.
anyone know that xrated song - well the most popular
guy and his band in grade 8 played it.



if that was the xrated version - i missed it
not sure what happened but i see he is on facebook.
i however only have fake facebook accounts.

I just had a battle with a tree frog.
He jumped on my head when I opened the screen door to come in.
Chased him around the kitchen for 10 minutes.
They can jump about 4 ft. and stick to anything,
chair legs, bottom of the table, the wall.... anything!
Had to keep a close eye on him because they can just disappear,
then he'd be living in the house till I found him again.
The 1 in. monster was eventually subdued and removed to the outside world once again.

Southern living isn't all peaches and cream, bikinis and margaritas you know.
