don't. Until I found out I was pregnant, I was on a 4 year "lost" weekend. Had alot of fun. Now the party is over, but I will still have the odd toke once in a blue moon.
now I use pharmaceticals when I require them. (pain management)
It amuses me to this day, I had to go in for stitches once and the doc had to use about 8 or 9 shots of freezing cause my drug tolerance was higher at the time.......
As long as you understand chemicals and your ability to handle them, I say there is nothing wrong with recreational drug use. Same as with alcohol. If you can't handle it, don't do it.

I've been on lots of prescription medicines over the years. Anti-depressants, SSRI's, birth control, pain killers, iron pills, allergy meds, etc. Currently just birth control, several iron pills, an SSRI, and heavy duty pain killers (that I rarely take because I am comfortable with pain). I hate taking medicine, but I'm always prescribed it! Would love to switch bodies with a healthy person! Any takers?
Also I'm rather fond of extra strength Advil for Migraines. Never gets rid of my migraines, but it does help me handle light better. Tylenol does nothing, it's like candy. Oh, and I have been known to take Gravol to help me fall asleep.
Never did any recreational drugs, nor had any desire to. Never saw the appeal of them. Plus, I'm anaphylactically allergic to pot. So badly allergic that if someone touches me after touching the plant I will react.
I am fine with terminally ill patients smoking pot, provided it's nowhere near me. I hate, hate, hate allergic reactions. A lot. One major reason I'm against drug use (and my father, he was always a hundred times more abusive when drinking or doing drugs).Last edited by Kyeste; Mon, Jun 6th, 2011 at 03:29 AM.

shoot, didn't i admit to grass, hash, coke, speed, and heroin?
i see you shaking your heads - and saying no wonder
medically i've been on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds,
quite a while ago - quit taking them.
when my mom died i tried celexa, (i think), once - had a terrible reaction,
(top half of my body got really hot), phoned 911.
they wanted me to go to the hospital, but i didn't.
(had to sign form saying i refused to go).

',,,at this point, jared was snorting thirty to forty percocets a day
and still topping that off with a few oxy,,,,'
this is when jared was 'a highly functioning addict' working as the
assistant to a major book publisher in boston.
'in three short years, between 2002 and 2006, the number of americans
using painkillers nonmedically grew by over 3 million people, at last count
that total number was 32.7 million'
quotes from 'pill head'
how many canadians? and wondering if it's that easy here/there
now.
joshua lyon who wrote pill head, started on pills, as a magazine
writer, who noticed how easy it was to get them on-line.
he wrote an article about getting valium, xanax and vicodin
easily and delivered.
when his editor phoned him worried about him having the pills, joshua
said he'd flush them - he didn't.

I smoke pot when I was younger, I'll admit that. I was always too afraid to try anything else!

Now I dont take anything...seldom take pain relievers.. but in my youth...
I did hash, pot, and LSD. Did mushrooms once, and tried coke once...
That was 20+ years ago....I am currently grossly behind on ratings... I promise to catch up asap...life has just become super duper crazy!

I needed that many for both kids for stiches. I had both of them pain med free but for after I wanted the freezing for stitches. I have always had a high drug tolerance, and I wasn't on "lost" weekends I think it depends on the person?

I never experimented with any drugs when i was younger. I was always too scared to try. As i got older and saw some of the things that happened to friends i'm very glad i never did. (i went down the alcoholic road instead) I haven't drank in years, and as far as pain killer's go, I have 2 perscriptions for my back (an old injury) that i almost never take b/c they are addictive. (My back has been hurting really bad for the last 2 days and i still wont take one, it's gotta hurt a few more day's before i will take one)

I'm not ashamed to say I use to smoke weed on a daily bases. Until I found yoga and breathing exercises, marijuana would help with my anxiety and stress...which at the time were causing me some bad problems. I had taken the drugs that the doctor gave, but that put me into depression...so weed was my answer. I figure if you can be responsible when smoking marijuana than there no reason why you shouldn't smoke it.
