I plan to comeback with a billion mosquito bites! They bite to me to point where I think I should be seriously poisoned and look like I have a bite on every inch on my skin ..minus the face..they leave that alone.

I'm usually the one in the group with the sweet blood they're drawn to, like smoke around a campfire. when I was a kid I was allergic to mosquito bites and they would swell ridiculously. once one bit me on my eyelid somehow and I had to go to the hospital. have a great time this weekend, trucks, don't forget the bugspray!

ever been bitten right between the fingers? ov vey its irritating! or in some akward place outside the ear where you just cant quiet scratch it! darn them!
bugspray sadly doesnt work for me...I think I will take along incense! one time i lit a green twig on fire..the smoke kinda sort kept them away..i had to keep hovering it around myself.

yep! I've been bitten pretty much everywhere it's humanly possible to be bitten, except not there thankfully. between the fingers or toes is the worst. how about that feeling when you're tucked in your sleeping bag at night and there's a mosquito stuck in the tent with you and you hear that relentless buzzing looking for any inch of exposed skin. yet it's still good times.

green twig, nice! sounds like voodoo, chasing them away with a burning stick... I'll be giving that one a shot. I wish I could find an effective natural repellent... I've tried some essential oils but nothing's proved strong enough for me yet.

lmao, my thoughts exactly. I've come home some weekends bruised, bitten, muddy, dirty, soaked, itchy, uncomfortable and been given the look and the sarcastic "have a good time?"... "it was amazing", lol

wow, this is the second thread this morning that I've either disgusted (see: tick) or dissuaded you, lol. so sorry, veevee! for consolation, the majority of camping trips I've been on have been comfortable, where we're all stocked up, no one's forgotten bugspray or sunblock or the other essentials and it's a blast. think roasting marshmellows.

I am kinda excited to try it. I like the fact were going by a lake so we can go swimming and there bringing a boat as well and if I heard correctly they have a mini kitchen they bring along haha. But I am kinda a princess when it comes to the outdoors I hate to sweat and hate bugs hahaha

Bring lemons with you - the citrus scent is supposed to repel mosquitoes.

As for me, if it doesn't have indoor plumbing, I refuse to go. I'm a 5-Star resort kinda gal.
