Good morning! Have to get the critters ready for their annual check-up in a little while. I told the dog & she's excited (she LOVES her vet cause he gives her cookies), but the cat can't figure out if something's up or the dog's just crazy.

Reporter said he was scouting for deer.

I had no idea people hunted bear. I'm a total city girl. I went fishing once & cried when I discovered that my new "pet" (kept alive in the bathtub overnight to stay fresh) was meant for dinner the next day (I was 5).

Sigh. Thinking my emergency fund might be blown.

Lily dog had a lovely dr visit - vet loved her, cause she was the only critter there (& there were lots of patients today!) who wasn't screaming or shaking & actually happy to be there. He laughed cause she didn't care that she was getting needles, just wanted to kiss him.

Quincy cat was a different story. In spite of all my efforts to keep his teeth brushed, it looks like he might have an infected tooth. His gum started bleeding when the vet checked his teeth (& scraped against them). Won't know for sure until he goes to see the dentist. Eek. Other than that, he's healthy (& very happy to be back home, he's not that fond of doctors!).
