758 now! I have been pimping this link out like crazy! They get an e-mail saying they have potentially lost another customer every time someone new views it, I hope it gets someones attention! If not- it makes me happy to be heard, since every time I say anything to the girl she just says- it's customer abuse! I can't even imagine how I would do all that damage, even if I tried!!!

Wow that is in terrible condition, chairs too. 'm sorry they're not doing anything for you. My in-laws also bought a chair and table set from there, and had a similar problem, the chairs were falling apart, the finishing on the table was all coming off. I really dislike Leon's and the Brick, I find you pay way too much for stuff that is not even that good. I've had my $70 Ikea table and chair set going on 5 years now, and it's in better shape then your set! That's pretty sad.

I never purchased anything from the brick and reading your posts, I definitely never will. I never trusted that company with all of their emergency tent sales, seems so desperate. I'm so sorry you were mislead-ed that way.

The damage does seem very excessive for just over a year old. Did you buy it on a credit card?

This could not have happen just overnight. Did you call them when this started to occur? The cracks and the stain peeling?

The table had a small- barely noticeable crack in it, and it grew, and almost over night all those little cracks came- I am assuming from the stress that the big crack made! I was so mad when I wrote that- I should go edit it and write it a little better now that I have cooled off a bit!
Amy, it's HORRIBLE. But I do think you are right, maybe edit now that you are cooled off. Then, take 'em to the cleaners.

My husband worked for the Brick as a service technician for 8 yrs, and he always tried to keep the customers happy, but ultimately it`s up to store level to decide what gets replaced and what doesn`t. I would call head office and see what can be done. The Brick is a hard store to bring things back to or get replacements.

Once I had a problem with the Brick about false advertisement. There was this 3 piece leather sofa set they advertised as ~$1999.99. I showed the them the ad for it and they lied telling me that it was a misprint. They tried to show me a cheaper and less comfortable sofa set, but I refused. For then on, I refuse to shop at the Brick.

when i last clicked on it, it was at 1679

i bought several pieces from them in febuary and i am not happy with them, i was supposed to get my bedroom set and mattress on the same day... only got the bedroom set, and they tried to charge me extra delivery for sending out the mattress the next day (it didn't work, i stood my ground and they actually didn't charge me for either of the deliveries)

so when i actually got the mattress and they put it on they broke something from the frame and took a week to come back and fix it... at that point i noticed a chip in the mirror, but it was also back ordered and would have taken 6 weeks... so i took the money back option on that... also when they were putting the nightstands they chipped a piece of the bed frame, and refused to admit they did it... i came into the room when i heard an oh sh!t and that chip proved that it isn't the "Solid wood construction" that they say it is, its fricken hollow... the people who set up the bed frame didn't know how to set up the drawers underneath and did it wrong... for the bedroom set i had the tech guy out 3 times! and he finally got it right... at least he was nice about it... even jokingly asked if there was anything else i needed fixed

i also bought a couch set, the couch was back ordered (they didn't tell me when i bought it) and had to be informed that by the people who where bringing in my loveseat and my chair... when i asked where my couch was... they took off the packing in the truck, it was pouring rain... it was wet and dirty when i got it, black hand prints (on dark brown) and two weeks later i get a knock at my door and they were delivering my couch, no notice they just showed up....

i also really really hate that they won't give a specific time when they actually do set up a day to deliver... i have much better things to do (like shop ) than wait around for a bunch of incompetent boys...

also huge rant that the website states certain measurements that are incorrect!!! i bought a countertop dishwasher and i made sure to check the measurements of my counter to the cupboards, had someone else double check it... well the dishwasher according to the website should have fit with about 1.5 cm to spare... so i go and buy it... get it home, and it doesn't fit... they refused to take it back, b.c i had taken it out of its box... and it couldn't go back the exact same way i got it (it had these bands that held the bottom to the sides of the box, it was 2 separate pieces) and they said i measured wrong... and refused to do anything about it, it worked out as a great mother's day gift to my mom tho

D-Roc: I did purchase this table on a credit card- I did the deferred payments for 9 months. I did mention the crack on a visit to the store, but it was casual, just chatting with old co-workers- I didn't put in an actual service request then, I waited until all of those little cracks came.
I swear they were just there one day! I know it seems hard to believe that it happened "overnight" but seriously, there was a crack it started getting bigger, then one day I noticed the table was covered in them! It was a little crazy!
Thanks everyone for viewing my complaint!

If you noticed the single crack well before it got to this level, you should have put in a claim at that time. They could use that against you.
