lastnight I heard a loud squeaking noise.. Went to the other side of the house to find Lennie carrying around one of the new bunnies.. I have tried everything to stop him including putting a snow fence up around their nest under a tree.. He doesn't hurt them.. he just carries them around in his mouth.. He did the same thing with a baby robin he found in the spring with a broken wing.. He's male.. but think he tries to be a mom.. Don't know what else I can do..

How about some stuffed animals? I know sometimes on freecycle here, people ask for them for their dogs to snuggle/play with - and I've given some away to dog homes.

My puppy does this to his stuffed toys...I gave him a Chipmunk (Theodor lol) and he carries it around and when he goes to sleep he lays with it in his mouth and kneads it and falls asleep (really the cutest thing I have seen ever!)
I don't think your puppy is wanting to hurt it, but prob is being protective of it and thinks it needs to 'take care' of the bunny. Like Natalka said maybe getting him a stuffed animal (a rabbit one? lol) might help?

Stuffed animals last like 3 minutes in our house.. those bunnies will live forever compared to stuffed toys

Have you tired a Kong brand animal???

My friend has one giant dog and he loves stuffed animals but would destroy them so she bought him one of those and it lasts FOREVER and they come in bunnies,mice, ducks, cow and something else
