Yes usually the bigger prizes. But I'd maybe be more skeptical if it's a not as well know company

I WON THE IPAD!!!

Over the last 5 weeks we have been participating in a regional contest on Facebook. Each week that we completed the family activity and submitted a picture of us doing the activity, we earned 1 entry. We had 5 entries, from the 5 weeks. I won a $25gc one week and today was the draw for the grand prize, which was the iPad. She’ll deliver it later today. Woohoo!

Ok. I’m feeling lucky now.

I’ve been entering a variety of local Father’s Day contests in Facebook. Our local news paper just contacted me to say that I’m their big winner. I won $300 in gift cards to local businesses. She has to collect a few more of the gift cards, then she’ll drop it off in our mailbox. It might be later today or tomorrow morning.

Small problem, it will be announced in the local news paper tomorrow, which Dh might see. I’m considering moving up some of our Father’s Day celebrations. I also doubt that the kids could keep it a secret. I haven’t told them yet.

Edit: Gift cards included $25 off a hotel stay, CO-OP, 2 restaurants, jewelry shop, stationary/computer store, oil change, tools, auto shops, etc.
