Hi All,
I have been "applying" for Freebies and samples for a few months now, and thankfully, just came across your site!
I was wondering, after seeing the post "Freebies that ALWAYS come", where the heck my freebies are that fall into that category?!
I have basically requested all the ones that are sure to come, and have thus far, only received my Brand Sampler box.
I have yet to receive anything else, and have been waiting months now. Is this a common thing? Are the samples packaging marked for the mail person to be able to know there is a goody inside?
I guess I am just wondering if anyone else has came across this before?
I live in a rural community outside a large city, so the post person drives around delivering direct from a car (not walking with one bag mailman i.e no room to store goods). So there is ample room to toss a free goody into the backseat.
I realize it is illegal, but I wanted to ask here before I contact my local post office about this issue. It is impossible to prove, but you have to trust your gut feeling right?

I would wait a bit longer, some freebies do tend to take a long time.

Yes freebies take ALOT of patience.
Also always copyshortcut the freebie link and paste it into a new window. If they backtrack and find out you came from a freebie forum they wont send freebies.

I live in a rural community with the same kind of mail delivery system. I have had the unfortunate problem of my freebies being taken. I did have a chat with the post mistress and she confronted the delivery person. In my case, the person confessed and was let go. Not just because of my mail but there was a question of what other things were taken from other people. When the post mistress gets any samples into the post office she immediately checks to see if they have been tampered with or "opened" (like not enough glue used or not closed properly) and she puts Canada Post tape on them and initials the package so I know it was not done by the delivery person.
I hope your samples come but a friendly chat with the post office does not hurt.
Good luck!I feel evil !!!!

I was getting things fairly regulalry but sadly I do not trust my new mailperson especially after they made a comment about the freebies I was getting.

How does the mailman know which envelopes have freebies? For me they usually aren't marked "freebie" or anything like that. Unless they are and I just haven't been receiving those ones lol

A lot of the samples take a long time to get. I get some that took so long I even forgot that I requested it. If your samples were being taken you would think that the brand sampler would be one to keep.

freebies can take a while before they arrive. I doubt a mail person is going to risk their job for a neutrogena sample. Be patient, have faith, and I'm sure they'll all come. Just remember not all freebie posts are real, some just trick you into getting spam. I just stick to things I know will come like livingwell samples.

I always find that coincidentally, as soon as I start thinking "where the hell is that thing I've been waiting for?" and planning the semi-nasty yet tactful email I'm about to write regarding it's whereabouts, that like CLOCK WORK it will show up the very next morning lol.

I do hope that is the case!
I guess I thought if it was something like a box, the post person would think it was an expected arrival and wouldn't risk such a large grab. I may be a bit paranoid though. I work from home, and have to send away for quite a bit of stuff (for my work), plus living in a rental unit with another tenant, the mail is astronomical some days.
Now that the other unit is empty, I know it is not the other tenant (as I previously thought). I would literally watch out the window for the mail to be sure to get there before them, so I knew it wasn't her. Sad, but true lol.
I will wait a few more weeks and see what happens. If by then my samples do not come, I think I will head down to the post office.
Thanks so much everyone for the replies, I was in hindrance on whether or not to write about it, thinking I was crazy, but I guess I am not the only one this may be/has happened to.

Another example is I received not one envie last week. Today I received 2 save.ca, 3 websaver, 3 gocoupons and 2 raok. Tell me that is a coincidence? It's impossible that they all arrive on the same day and it's always on a Monday. It all started with my current carrier.

I must admit i do think that someone along the Canada Post line is getting some of my freebies.
I was supposed to get a couple of books from a (reputable!)company and after waiting for it for 3 months i emailed the company. I was told that they WERE sent out and that they would resend to make sure i got them....Guess what, that was about 4 months ago and still nothing
I also vaguely know my postie(aunt of girl my dd goes to school with - and doesn't get on with
)....and i don't think she likes me
...not that i care but i have often thought she might be helping herself to my goodies (actually dh has thought the same thing so maybe there's something to it!!)

We have an old aquaintance who's a mailman.
I asked about that one day and he laughed and said
that every mailman takes one of everything
that's being sent as a 'freebie'. They know.
Overpaid theives.
