    What a cruise - no shopping? no Air Miles? Miss a deal?

    What's the ratio for Shell gas? 10 cents / mile?

    Shell coupons is 11.43 cents per mile, although one of the lower redemptive value the gas coupons are really the only necessity item out there. If you are on a tight budget having these coupons will save you real money. Whereas the movie tickets etc. Allow a person to do something they might have not done.

    Ah! But I'd buy the cruise through Marlin using gift certificates bought with AMs and double dipping for more AMs.

    the only necessity item out there
    I thought we could get Zellers cards now (perhaps I'm wrong) but you could use those to purchase needed items like food.

    Also, I convert to cards I can use for meals for business which amounts to cash too and provides a receipt for tax purposes.

    Hmmm - Zeller's at 12.5 cents isn't too bad - you can get HBC points and redeem as Air Miles (loose 50% of the value) and the HBC has various coupons/bonuses but it's slower going.

    Just keep buying more Zellers cards instead of redeeming AMs. You'll still get to double dip.

    BTW: I gather so many people have figured out it's better to use Marlin gift certificates to book vacations to get better value than buying off the AirMiles site they've placed restrictions on it now:

    Max: 8 certificates/person = $400/person

    Here's this week's Safeway coupons:

    Another Excellent AM Offer: Mr. Clean B2G30AMs $2.99 each

    If you have the P&G coupon B2G$2 off (or similar) then

    2 = $5.98 - $2 = $3.98 (pre tax)

    30AMs = approx. $4.20

    Is the swiffer refills/duster a good deal?

    Buy 2, get 20 AM

    it's $3.99 each...
    but I have a bunch of the "save $5 wub duster + refill"..
    so $3.99 x 2 - $5 = $2.98 for 20 AM

    Well, if you value an AM @ $0.14 then 20 = $2.80.

    However, you say the coupon requires you to buy the duster as well. Is there an extra cost associated with that?

    My Safeway has Swiffer duster starter kit for $3.99 and Sweeper refills for $3.99...

    I so wish they have duster refill on sale for $3.99 but they are still at regular price. I did get 2 of duster starter kits with $1.5 off coupons though.
