There are 2 parts to it.

A. a group of many different items are made available for 4 (???) days and people bid on them using airmiles. At the end of the bidding time a new set of items appear for the next 4 days. Generally (90+% of the time) these are a waste of time because people not aware of the value of their AMs seriously overbid.

B. every day one item is put up at a predetermined airmile purchase price and predetermined number of items available. The predetermined number must be reached or the deal does not go through. These are usually good value. Once the predetermined number is reached this "group buy" is finished for the day. Some are such good value they number is reached in a couple of minutes. Some are bad enough that the number is not reached and there fore no one gets the item. The items that don't go sometimes appear later at a lower AM limit.
