the coke 20 tins were on sale too @3.99. The dole sparklers were even cheaper than advertised. $3.50 each - $2 off . I got 2 - 12 packs for $3. I did fairly well at safeway today. I only focus on stuff that is on sale and usually manage to come up with $100 to get my bonus 150.

    Deal Alert:

Not a Safeway AM offer but I know some people here are interested in the product.

Thrifty's has Barilla "Whole Grain" pasta on for $1.00!

I don't know if all are on sale. I just happened to be in and got the 375g Penne at an end of aisle display at Hillside Mall.

Not much of a difference unless you use the AMs for flights in which case the Coke offer is better.
Ya know, while I definitely appreciate Bob cranking out the comparisons, it's a darn shame that we have to be concerned about such small amounts of Air Miles that are available nowadays on most items, and the ridiculously inflated prices on those items that do have miles (witness the Halloween chocolate bars coupons, for example). As others have said, there are much better deals everywhere BUT Safeway this week (and the week before that, and the week before that...), so again, if the powers that be at the Sobeys Safeway multiplex are reading this--the profits you thought you'd be making will not be there if you don't persuade us to make any purchases at your stores!

    (End of rant).

Haven't made it through the front doors for about 3 weeks now. The AM deals are a joke when you can stack at other retailers. Last year I was racking up any where from 300-900 (my personal best) AM's per week. Wish they would start offering some real deals, and on more then one item.

There are some good deals this week... not on basics like meat and potatoes and veggies but there are some good deals.
The pepsi being the first $3.99 for a 20 pack = .20 cents a can... that means a 12 pack would go for $2.40 each.

    snack pack puddings 4 for $5 buy 5 get 30 airmiles ($3.15 value)<<great deal Cost is $6.25 - 3.15 airmiles is $3.10 for 5 snack pack puddings .62 ea
chef boyardee pasta 4 for $5 buy 5 get 30 airmiles (3.15 value when you spend $6.25) <<great deal Cost is $6.25 - 3.15 airmiles is $3.10 for 5 tins of chef boyardee .62 ea
Lysol toilet bowl cleaner or all perpose trigger cleaner 2 for $5 - $1wub2 coupon (b2g25 airmiles $2.62 value) = .69 each
    clean and clear skin care or body wash $5.99 -$3 printable - $2.5 printable -$3 call in (buy 3 get 30 airmiles) best deal is$5.99 - 3 -1.05 = $1.94 each

We can get the clean and clear cheaper by stacking but the rest are all really good deals.

I totally agree many even almost all of the prices are out to lunch... but sobeys didn't even make the cut this week. I couldn't find prices at sobeys that were better then other retailers. Maybe it was just this migraine but I was not impressed by Sobey's flyer... safeway in comparison is rocking it this week... if only on a few specials.

Yesterday I was in Tillicum and 12 tin Coke was marked 3 for $10 and part of the offer.

Today I was in Shelbourne and it's marked 2 for $9 and not part of the offer.

    Who knows?

I would definitely agree, 2012 had so many more better deals. It seems that this year once they found a buyer the deals got crappier. Maybe suck as much profit as they can before the sale. My other theory is hidden inflation, I'm thinking it's more the sponser that sets the deals not Safeway persay.

The only reason I keep going to Safeway is because my store has been offering B$100G150 for the past year since they opened. I only expect the airmiles deals to get worse in the future. It will be interesting to see what Sobeys does with Safeway. When I look at the Airmiles offers on groceries out east. It would take a lifetime for a short-haul flight.

I would love to shop at SW more but even the coke deals I find are better at RCSS, because they have the cases with the $3 off pizza coupons and last time I checked SW didn't. So I can get the coke 3/$10 and get $9 worth of pizza coupons, and with a couple of teens I go through lots of both items. It would be nice if some different items started being offered with AM's. I'm still stocked on cereal and Lysol products, LOL ohhh how I long for the great frozen food deals of last year...

I gots some puddin, puddin and some ravioli for my kid... I am not buying either one again for a year... 10 cans of ravioli should last a while!... BTW really watch your receipts... the cashier said wow you earned 122 airmiles... but i had put thru five of the deal so i said thanks to her and a silent oh crap in my head and went right to customer service... she missed one of the puddings so they refunded 4 then charged me for 5 to correct it. I want my full 152 airmiles LOL... I am saving up for something.

The other day I posted about the great new feature on Air Miles offering me a hotel room in PVR for 100k AM/Night. Well I passed on that one.

Another new feature on AirMiles.ca is an 'Air Miles for Business' section - for business owners that collect Air Miles.
    Has many features, including:

There are lots of opportunities to earn reward miles, as well as more ways to reward yourself, your employees and your best customers.

The free miles transfer looks like a great bonus.

If you're eligible, sign up for this new feature.

Problem for business owners though is that the Airmiles are considered taxable.
