And the short answer, maybe it isn't as good as it could have been. Got some stuff tonight, got my regular 50 bonus AM (I know I am spoiled), but the coupon didn't go through (invalid coupon, I believe). Anyhow, the assistant manager took the coupon, read it profusely (including the part where it can be combined), and then wrote me up in "the book" for the extra 50. So we shall see in a month or two if it works.

This might not work since technically it is coupon stacking -- trying to use both Safeway's coupon and the P&G coupon on the same product. Safeway's coupon policy says this is a no-no. Probably depends on which safeway you visit and even which cashier you get.

I tried to use the post cereal "super coupon" this week as well as a different paper coupon but the cashier shut me down. Suddenly she's an expert on their coupon policy -- two weeks earlier that same cashier didn't accept my printed internet coupon, even tho their policy says they accept them.

Just a follow up on when AM's are posted to your account--just got a whack of miles posted (1,000 or so) from shopping in last two weekends...but to answer a question that someone asked--got miles from Amex for spending the 100$ at Safeway--looks like I got 2 out of 3 for recent purchases. That's it thanks for posting, Bob--nothing for me this week.

Did you get any of the bonuses from the B$50G50 @ Safeway & B$20(30?)G10 @ Shell cards that Airmiles mailed out.

I only show one from Shell yet I used the card a half dozen times.

Buy $10 gc's using airmiles cash... you should be able to do it 5 times if you have the points. Then use the gc's to purchase the gas
5 X $10 gc's = 125 airmiles (you need small transactions to get the 25 each time)
then buy 50 in gas and get 50 airmiles and you have multiplied your deal.
$50 in gas gets you 175 airmiles and that = $18.37 back... now that is a good deal!

Hey, everyone. I only visit the thread once in a while, and I'm wondering how you're all allocating your airmiles these days. Did you change to cash? Or do a cash/dream split? I haven't changed anything in my own account but I'm kind of curious how everyone else is doing it.

I'd jump in on the Shell offer but I realize I have zero cash rewards!

Airmiles has devalued the points when you spend them through the dream miles... they disguise it as fees... you now get charged a 10.50 fee up to $50 for using a 100 amount.

ok....I get the buying gift card bit....but do you use those gift cards to buy $50 in gas? If so, what is the deal...is it buy $50 gas get 50 ams?? I missed seeing that one...
