While it seems Safeway is cutting back Thrifty's seems to be increasing (although their offerings are still dismal and over priced.

They used to offer B$20G20. The last couple weeks they've had B$20G25 in the flyer.

Also, this week they have a B$75G95 offer instead of the usual B$100G100.

If you're using a $100 Smile Card that came with a $10 or 200 AM bonus it's workable.

Safeway just re-opened the Langley Willowbrook store as a 'Safeway Extra'. Was there last weekend, pretty nice - fresh juice bar, lots of prepared meals, etc.

If it is anything like the Sobeys Extra stores here, they often have a few flyer specials different from the regular flyer for the area. Often dollar deals too worth picking up

This made me think that they've signed on to the Safeway name for a long time.. otherwise this would have been a perfect opportunity to re brand a store as Sobeys.

I just used them for the flights 3rd year in a row. However we had to book the tickets separate for 5600 each as they tried to scam us booking together for 14000 / 7000 each
I think the value worked out to about 16.5 cents per mile. Just here 16 days this year
