    Answer from Safeway re: 500 limit.

    Thank you for taking the time to express your comments regarding our Air Miles promotions in our Canada Safeway stores. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns.

    With the changes that we have made with our Air Mile incentives, you can now see the miles that will be awarded to your account right on the receipt. The miles will be accumulated per transaction. With regards to the product bonuses; there is a maximum of 500 bonus miles you can receive. For example: A promotion for Kellogg’s Event: When you purchase 6 participating items you earn 100 miles. If you purchase 40 Kellogg’s product the maximum you can earn would be 500 miles. As before the promotion coupons purchase 100 earn 100 are in addition to this and will continue to have exclusions.
    We apologize for any inconvenience these promotions may have caused you. Your comments and concerns have been forwarded to our Marketing Department.

    Thank you for contacting us, as our customer’s feedback is important to us. We value your patronage and hope to continue serving you.

    That's too bad, thanks for the info, is that limit per purchase, or day or week?

    Hey, For the first time in about 3 months I'm not travelling on business on Friday Morning:

    October 25 - October 31:

    In the following first number is sale price. Second number is effective value based on $0.14/AM). If there is a multiple offer, ie, B3G15 & B6G45 a third number corresponds to the value of the extra offer.

    With effective valuing you can compare the relative prices of a product after accounting for the AirMiles against the same product in another store. For example,

    If Coca-Cola is $2.00 with 10 Airmiles it has an effective value of $0.60 [$2 - (10 x $0.14)]. If another store is selling the same product for $1 you know the effect of the AirMiles beats that price.

    Print off a copy of the following to take comparison shopping.

    SS = Safeway Select
    Saf = Safeway
    Sig =Signature
    Sch = Schneider's
    GMS = Gourmet Meat Shop
    OO = O Organics
    ER = Eating Right
    ML = Maple Leaf
    BC = Betty Crocker
    NPG = No Price Given

    P.1

    B$100G100 coupon

    Herbal Essence B3G15 2.49/1.79 (This is a pretty good deal, especially if you have any B1G1 or $0.50 coupons, for example with 3 B1G1 coupons total cost = $7.47 before tax and you pick up $4.20 in AMs so effectively $3.27 total or $0.5475 each)

    p.2

    Aveeno Skin Care 20% off and OB Tampons 50% off NPG subtract -1.40/1.87

    Stayfree Pads 3.33/1.93/1.46 (While this doesn't look as good a deal as the Kotex according to the flyer it looks like larger packages for the OB. I don't know anything about quality, etc. ladies but all things being equal the larger sizes would make OB the better choice).

    Tylenol/Motrin/Benylin 6.99/5.59/5.12

    p.8

    Let me know if I missed anything.

    Better than last week but not a lot of outstanding offers. <!-- / message --> <!-- thread tags --> <!-- / thread tags --> <!-- sig --> __

    Rats!!!! Missed a great deal.

    Didn't get around to shopping at Safeway until 8:00 last night.

    The B3G50 on house brand pop was @ $2.50 each (before tax) so $7.50 got $7 in AMs.

    Only had one coupon with me or I'd have made multiple purchases. Would have been an excellent food banker.

    Here's this week's email.direct. The cheese is always a good offer (I've price compared in other stores in the past on this one including Wallyworld):

    <table width="534" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td width="612"></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="612"></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="612"></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="612"></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="612"></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="612"></td> </tr> <tr> <td></td> </tr> <tr> <td></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica; font-size: 12px;" width="612" align="center">

    Try opening and closing your browser and retrying.

    As I recall the way it works the same one can be 25xs the next time.

    Thanks for posting this, I got 25x and I was just checking here quickly before I ran out to shop! One question I have is I used the 25x and didn't give the cashier the spend $100 get 100 a/m because I thought you couldn't use them both at the same time, she had one and went ahead and swiped it on her own...my receipt showed 550 a/m's ($200 spent, $100 saved w/coupons and safeway select) so hopefully there aren't any issues!

    The 25Xs only applies to your base miles (1 for every $20 spent) so there shouldn't be an issue.

    Was just in Safeway and saw Nature Valley Sweet & Salty and Quaker Oats products marked as participating products until Oct. 31 but neither is listed in the flyer and management didn't know what the offer was.

    Simple Pleasures cookies are also on B2G10 into November but they aren't in the flyer either.
