So I am on day two of staying home from work and I am going crazy!!
I have no idea what to do. I need somethings to occupy my time.
My problem is...all the work I usually do was done on the weekend as my wife and I both work during the week.
I am finding when you aren't sick, staying home really sucks. I am getting bored and can only play so many video games! This thread is currently associated with: N/AMatt

I work from home 3 days a week, and it doesn't really bother me; then again, I'm super busy with schoolwork. DH is AWFUL when he is at home... he's always bored and ends up bugging me. He's also off this week; his work has "use it or lose it" policies for vacation days, so he has to use 'em up before March 31. I always suggest some mini projects for him during the week if he's going to be at home.
Is there anything you can take on as a project while you're at home? A small home improvement project or an irregular cleaning/sorting project (like cleaning out the freezer) can kill a lot of time. DH has painted the living room, worked on cleaning the garage, and works on his motorcycles when he stays home.
You can also occupy yourself with going for a walk (one of my faves)... if you live in town, maybe walk to a coffee shop, have a coffee and head home. If you pick a coffee shop that's 3 or 4 km away and then read a paper while you're drinking your coffee, it'll take care of an morning for you.
Good luck!

LOL I'd love to do renos in the house...however, my wife would get upset.
Her exact words "It's not that I don't like your idea of decorating or design...it's just that it is ugly"
I was thinking of building a fort in my front yard and having a snowball fight with the neighbours kids.Matt

Why don't you do what the rest of us housewives do all day, kick your feet up, watch soaps and eat bon bons.

Wow...bored at home? Lol! Then don't retire, Hon...there's nothing BUT time on your hands! My hubby and I are never bored, and some days there aren't enough hours in the day.
Develop a hobby..is there something you would enjoy doing, or wish you could learn? Take classes for? It'll serve you well later on. What about volunteer work? Find your bliss, and persue it!

The only thing is...I can't do something too intense...as I am waiting for a call as to when I can go back to work.
Maybe I'll go shopping and spend money on things I don't need, to impress people I don't like, with money I don't have, to satisfy an EGO that is already too big!Matt

Start a cooking blog. That's what I would do if I stayed at home all day. Oh wait, I do, and where's my blog?
If Reno's aren't ok. Try to rufurbish a chair or something. Find a piece of old junk and make it pretty again.
Really seriously though ask for a "Honey Do" list. That will help with 2 things. You'll have something to do, and she won't be resentful that you're home playing video games while she's working.
Go to the public library they have a ton of lovely DIY books on many subjects.

No things around the house that you've been putting off doing? Not necesarily from a honey-do list, but just your own stuff - depending what you are into.
My husband will often take that time to organize his tools and junk, work on some projects he has set aside.
How about trying some baking? My husband does that too - he makes awesome bread and tasty cookies!
Since it sounds like you do have enough snow, maybe build a snowman, or a snowcouple, or an animal!
Or ice luminaries along the sidewalk to your house.

Research something on the net - cars, hobbies, whatever you fancy. Join a forum on it.
I don't see it as you need to have to do 'work' - just things to keep you occupied.
