I had no clue where to post this but I am looking for someone to reccommed some good face washes/lotions to me. I'm currently using Aveeno, I was looking into the Clinique 3 step system but its pretty expensive, 68.99 at sears and some of the reviews online were bad. I have combination skin, not a whole lot of acne but when I get it its just a red bump under the skin thats sore. So if anyone has any they swear by, love, hate, anything let me know! Thanks

I used to use Clinique as well but over the summer I felt like it made my skin too oily and breakout, even though it was for oily/combination skin.
I started using Clean & Clear Shine Control face scrub, I use it once a day, usually in the morning. I've run out of that and now I'm using Clean & Clear Morning Burst Face wash and the matching face lotion. It seems to have helped my skin a lot more. It doesn't get oily as fast and prevents little bumps on my skin.
I also like the scent and the energizing thing they talk about, it wakes me up in the morning.

I still on occasion will use my Clinique Face Lotion that's supposed to be a really good moisturizer, when my skin is really dry, esp near the eyebrows.

    Hope that helps

I too vote for Cetaphill, I have combo skin and get those "cyst" like painful swells. I did try Proactive, and it's good, but over time found it a little too abrasive for my skin. Cetaphill is super duper gentle

+1 for Cetaphil cleanser. My dermatologist suggested that I not waste my money on the more expensive products and try Cetaphil. I am still experimenting with moisturizers, but in terms of cleansers, Cetaphil is great!

I personally love lise watier and lancome. Didn't much care for the clinique line up. It all depends on the person.

ooo I love talking about products I love..

Okay well I use Vichy for face wash (i dont know the exact name of the product, but its by Vichy, its up at my mom house right now)
For mosturizer I use Nivea Soft (The best product by far, imo anyway), my nana used this product forever, her skin was like an infants, fabulous.
I sometimes use Burts Bees Day Cream and Evening Cream with royal jelly (the smell is something that not everyone would like).. some people dont like this because it makes your skin feel tighter... I love it because i have oily skin and it really helps with that and makes my face feel just great!

wow to the person saying clinique 3 step made their skin oily, I find much the opposite, it can really dry you out.

If you are interested in the clinique 3 step, they have gift with purchases at sears once in a while with clinique then is a good time to buy, otherwise, get the smaller set to try it out first to see if you like it, the products are quite big even in that.

I absolutely LOVE the Clinique 3-step system. You have to make sure you get the right one for your skin type though. i've been using for about a year and a half now after suffering some very uncharacteristic breakouts for me, and my skin has never been clearer! Yes, it may be pricey to buy up front, BUT it lasts. I bought my last big set back in November and with using 2X a day, am not even half way through yet!

I has been using aveeno for a while but I was thinking if It was a time for change I have combo skin also. I have tried Almay Cleansing Lotion for Normal/Combo Skin with Grapeseed Step 1 works great too but I always switch to aveeno positively radiant Cleanser and positively radiant moisturizer. but also was thinking about clinique and then I found this page http://www.womenshealthmag.com/beaut...0051&tip=10077 I'm still thinking .

Well, I've used so many throughout the years and with changes in my complexion (youthful glow to wrinkles!), but recently my Avon rep and friend said that she was working towards a higher level of sales and needed X number of dollars more, so although I don't purchase many Avon products, I put in an order. One of the products she recommended was the Anew line of cleansers etc, and as they were on sale for $5each down from $16, I purchased one for myself and one (for a more youthful complexion) for our DD..of course I also bought a ton of stuff and was so pleasantly surprised at some of them!
Anyhoo...I absolutely love, love, love my Anew Cleanser! It's creamy and leaves my fact so dewy! I've always been prone to oily skin, so I was hesitant, but this is lovely!

I usually go to Makeupalley.com for reviews and Avon products to my surprise usually score quite high, particularly in creams and cleansers.

So....just my 2cents, but sometimes inexpensive works!

I use Oxy face scrub, then noxzema or oxy face pads (after the shower) and lotion so your skin doesnt dry out. Use a lotion that doesnt have oil. And use face soap that has salycilic acid, helps prevent and treat pimples and bumps
