ExpiredNot sure what word to use, but Ill go with scam for now.
So, here is the 'story':
On September 27th we finalized a trade. I mailed my end out the next day.
I have not received anything (it was a GC) but I finalized some other trades that day, which have long before gotten here (within a few days-a week).
I PM'd this person last week, and have STILL not hear back from them.
What step do I take now? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I mailed something on the 29th and its still not there
But if the person is not responding to you, I would leave a negative and it can always be changed if worked out later

There's a thread for problems with trades; you might get some help there to see if others have had similar problems -

OMG I did a trade with someone in the beginning of September. Its been two months. I sent her 32 Stouffers BOGO and she was supposed to send me some GC. Long story short I have received absolutely nothing and she has my BOGOS. I am totally frustrated with it. I have sent a PM to Sally888 and also Boo Radley. I am now wondering if you traded with the same person I traded with. My trader is online too and trading with others.

caring is the one in charge of negative trades.I would PM her and ask if she has heard anything from these "bad" traders.

perhaps pm eachother with the username.
sry to hear!
have a suggestion....
for a trade with someone new, perhaps both people should at least take a pic of the coupons and addressed envi with stamp and send it to the opposite trader. this way there is more PROOF that a trade will be taking place and that the other trader actually did spend the time, in hopes at least of sending it out in the mail. of course it isn't 100% full proof but at least it may give someone that warm fuzzy feeling.
99.9% of people now a days have access to some sort of digital camera in some way...there really should be no reason why this couldn't be done.Last edited by ckmullin; Tue, Oct 26th, 2010 at 02:12 PM.

a lot of effort. The veteran with high rating shouldn't have to prove squat. The newbie sends his/her end of the trade first, once received, the other trader sends hers in.
Trust is earned. Just because you have a pic of it doesn't mean you're going to mail it.
A lot gets blamed on CP when in reality, people just aren't sending their envies.
It's a good idea but if I can think of a way around it when being the honest person I am (ask around), a scammer will see it as a joke.

The way I see it, is a good trader will reply, work out a deadline that if it doesn't show by and replace. Sure the replacement wont always be the exact same thing as the original but it should be mutually agreed
No pics etc necessary

I pity the people who put in all this effort to scam for coupons... I mean seriously - If you're going to put together a scam at least make it worth while! Like scamming old men for money (example) LOL
That was so much easier before Viagra.... now you have to work for it HAHAHA
